This wasn’t what Monroe had meant but he quickly realized he couldn’t say anything and just shook his head as he went back in the bathroom.

“Naughty Papa.” Lorne laughed again, maybe at himself or maybe because I nodded. “Scary Papa.”

Leaning over him, I paused and gave the bathroom door a quick glance. When I saw the coast was clear, I flashed an illusion I’d been working on over my face.

When he saw a fairly realistic version of Jafar from Aladdin glaring down over him, his eyes went wide and then he sucked in a dramatic breath. “Oh no. You get me.”

Growling out a low voice, I leered at him. “You’ll be mine.”

“What are you doing?” Monroe popped his head out, barely missing the fun.

I straightened and gave him a slightly confused frown, back to wearing my own face. “What? I’m supposed to be torturing him. You heard him.”

Monroe would’ve bought it if Lorne hadn’t started snickering and shaking as he tried not to laugh any louder. “Oh no. I trapped.”

Studying both of us, Monroe finally came out of the bathroom, not seeming to notice how naked he was and what it was doing to me.

Yep, clueless in so many ways and so smart in others.

“I just have to point out this looks highly suspicious even though I have no idea why.” Still keeping his gaze on both of us, he raised one eyebrow as Lorne started nearly donkey laughing he thought it was so funny.

He was going to be the weak link every time.

“I was just keeping him entertained while you finished getting ready.” He definitely needed a distraction, so I pointed to a stack of clothes on the end of the bed. “I took some of my sweats and a T-shirt and increased the size. They should fit, but if they don’t, I can make a quick adjustment.”

Not that they would need it.

But my mates seemed to like to pretend I wasn’t perfect, so I played nice.

“Thank you. I’m sure they’ll be fine.” Monroe tried to look like he believed that, but he was still surprised when they fit perfectly, trying to hide a humph, they actually work expression. “See. They’re perfect.”

Yep.

They were also gray sweatpants that I’d conveniently forgotten to provide underwear to go with.

Oops.

Monroe seemed to have no idea why Lorne started laughing again. “You’re so silly.”

That didn’t help Lorne get his delight under control but Monroe wasn’t worried about it, so I didn’t feel the need to confess how our mate’s pants looked.

Nearly indecent.

Big or little, Lorne clearly approved. “Naughty magey.”

My scoff got more delight out of the naughty boy. “I think you need more torture.”

Lorne’s nod made Monroe chuckle. “I’m not sure either of you knows what that word means.”

My definition was just more entertaining than his, but I wasn’t going to point that out either. I had no intention of explaining how long I’d spent getting that illusion right or explaining what other ones I could do.

I’d sound as nutty as they were.

“You’re in a strange mood.” Putting it back on Monroe got more delight out of Lorne and more scrutiny from Monroe.

“Still not looking any more innocent.” His response had Lorne squirming like my burrito had come to life.

“Stuck. I funny. Stuck.” Lorne was ridiculous, not funny, but his wiggling got his Daddy’s attention and pulled it away from me. “Help, Daddy.”

Yep, he was playing it up for his Daddy, but it was a wonderful distraction, so I knew I had to reward him later.

“Silly boy.” Monroe walked around the side of the bed, shaking his head. “You are very stuck.”

Lorne’s nod was so dramatic it got more chuckles from Monroe. “Stuck. Daddy. Help. Stuffie? Binkie? Bottle? Snack?”

Clearly trying to decide what to tackle first, Monroe frowned thoughtfully as I stepped back and he started unrolling my chatty burrito. “Well, yes, I have all of those things in the bag. Daddy is prepared for anything.”

And not shy about bragging about himself either.

“We’re going to do dinner, not a snack, though.” Giving Lorne a kiss when the silly boy pouted, he smiled. “You knew that answer already, so stop teasing me.”

That got more happy sounds from the silly boy, who was back to being a monkey, no longer a burrito. “Funny.”

The funny monkey sat up before Monroe could catch him and gave his Daddy a big hug as he tried to climb up our mate’s wide chest. “Monkey, Daddy.”

“A funny monkey.” It wasn’t me he was climbing all over, so I didn’t feel bad about encouraging the naughty behavior.

Monroe sighed and shot me a glare that had me flashing a grin back at him. “Really?”

“How high can the monkey climb?” If he thought I was going to be the Dom who encouraged good behavior from our cheeky mate, he was insane.

I’d only encourage good behavior when it suited me, and he should’ve realized that.
