“High. High. Ha ha. Funny monkey.” The monkey in question tried scrambling up his Daddy, and it looked like he was trying to sit on his Daddy’s shoulders, but his Daddy finally caught the monkey.
“That’s too high. Don’t put your penis in my face, silly boy.” Monroe paused for a few seconds, looking confused as Lorne laughed so hard he almost fell back on the bed. “I didn’t mean it like that.”
“Naughty monkey.” Lorne was still cracking himself up as Monroe laid him down again. “Funny monkey naughty.”
“A naughty naked monkey.” Monroe seemed to go with the if you can’t beat them, join them route because he leaned over Lorne and started tickling him.
As our boy squealed in laughter, Monroe blew a raspberry on his belly. The best part was that as he straightened, he looked down at a breathless Lorne’s hard cock and sighed. “Yep, a naughty naked monkey.”
We were never going to get him to stop laughing at the rate we were going, but he was definitely going to be thoroughly worn out at bedtime.
Deciding to help us along so the grown-ups in the room could figure out if we were actually going to have spaghetti for dinner, I reached into the bag Monroe had packed for Lorne and pulled out a diaper. “What do you want to go with the pasta the monkey wants or do you want to talk him into something else entirely?”
My question distracted them both and they both frowned for different reasons as Monroe lifted up Lorne’s bottom and slid the diaper under him.
Dragons were too fucking strong.
“No, Papa. ‘Sketti.” Lorne started wiggling as Monroe worked to get him ready. “I good boy.”
“That doesn’t mean you get to always pick dinner.” I might’ve scoffed at that idea but Lorne started it by sticking his tongue out.
“Really. Both of you.” Monroe’s disappointed Daddy routine had Lorne fighting not to smile. “What are my options to go with the pasta? I don’t mind that as a side.”
It seemed like we were both on the same page with ignoring Lorne’s drama and with dinner, so I tried to picture the fridge. “I laid out some chicken breasts to thaw. What about chicken parmesan?”
Monroe cocked his head. “I think you can really cook…and yes, that sounds very good.”
Rolling my eyes got a snicker from the naughty monkey and a chuckle from his Daddy. “I’m a real adult, unlike you two.”
I had a feeling they could both live off chicken nuggets and buttered noodles for longer than I wanted to even imagine.
Monroe pretended to ignore my comment and looked down at Lorne. “Silly Papa.”
Lorne nodded, probably just excited that he was getting spaghetti. “Silly Papa. Good Daddy.”
As the naughty boy peeked over at me, I rolled my eyes to make him giggle. “It’s my kitchen, so that means Papa controls dessert around here, so I’d be careful with that silly comment.”
That had Lorne thinking for a moment as Monroe was sitting him up and trying not to laugh. When Monroe reached for the pajamas he wanted out of the diaper bag, Lorne finally shook his head. “Mine.”
I just raised one eyebrow and waited.
“He was explaining earlier in the bathroom that your house is his and my house is his and I don’t know, I lost track.” Monroe shook his head as the explanation got derailed. “I need a chart, but basically, everything belongs to everyone. So he’s claiming either your house or your kitchen. Maybe both?”
That was very Lorne but I wasn’t going to agree to it until we were all living under one roof.
“I have issues with the assumptions that argument is based on.” I was vague but Lorne shook his head.
“Mine.” Then the bratty monkey shrugged. “Daddy slow.”
So it wasn’t his fault?
Monroe couldn’t seem to decide if he was going to laugh or if he was offended as he pulled the brightly colored pajama top over Lorne’s head. “Daddy is using common sense.”
Mumbling something about the ancestors not giving the two of us any, Monroe ignored Lorne’s snicker. “Yes, we have a strong bond and there are big feelings involved, but we haven’t even seen Lorne’s house yet.”
Brows pulling together as he finished getting the shirt on Lorne, Monroe shook his head. “That’s just suspicious. And he keeps smiling. It’s suspicious.”
Normally I’d have said he was insane, but he was right.
Lorne’s smiles were highly suspicious.
The grin he was currently wearing made him look like a slightly insane mad scientist.
“Then we just need to make a list about the important steps we need to take so we can feel confident that moving in together is the right plan.” But what should go on the list was the question.
Nothing rational would ever go on the list, so I didn’t even bother to start there.
“First step is going to be seeing what Lorne is hiding in his house.” The mad scientist giggle wasn’t helping soothe his Daddy’s fears any. “Second is going to be making sure we have all limit lists done.”
