“No. Just really tired.” I yawn and close my eyes, hitching my leg over his thigh. “Do you want to get cleaned up?”

“Fuck no.” His arm around me tightens, and he presses his lips to my head. “That was the hottest thing I’ve ever done with a guy. Shit. I think it might be the hottest thing I’ve ever done with anyone.”

My face and neck burn. “Yeah?”

“Hell yeah. All that stuff you said? You’re a little freak.”

The lust-soaked tone of his voice rushes blood to my dick, and I’m half-hard and nearly ready for round two.

“You need sleep, Felix,” Jake says, reading my mind.

I dig my face against his pec and grumble. “Fine. But can you make sure I don’t sleep too late? I need to check in with Dean.”

“Yeah. No problem.”

“Hey.” I tilt my head up and struggle to pry my eyes open. “What all did he say to you when you guys stepped outside?”

Jake twirls a piece of my hair around his finger. “Just some protective bullshit I didn’t need to hear. But it didn’t bother me. I get why he’s like that with you.”

I yawn again, causing my eyes to water, and drop my cheek to his chest. “Yeah. We’re close.”

“Not best friends close. Not like me and you.”

I am so fucking happy right now, I could die.

“Can you keep doing that with my hair? It feels good.”

“It looks good too. Your hair is perfect all messy like this.”

God. Did I need to hear that or what? How did he know?

He plays with another curl at the back of my head. “Go to sleep, Felix.”

“Shut up. I am.”

His laugh is low and rumbled, and the last thing I hear before I drift.

I wake to an empty bed, and I have no idea how long I’ve slept, but it wasn’t enough.

I still feel exhausted and my headache is back. It pounds like a drum. I think that’s what wakes me.

I palm my head and scratch at my stomach, and now there’s dried up cum underneath my nails. I really need a shower.

I sit up and swing my legs over the side of the bed, hunching over. My stomach feels hollow and my legs bounce.

I grab the glass of water off the table and take the straw out so I can guzzle it, wiping the drips off my chin with the back of my hand.

When the door opens at my back, I peer over my shoulder.

Jake walks in carrying a sandwich on a plate. “Hey. Did you just get up?”

“Yeah. How long did I sleep for?”

“Four hours. It’s almost ten.”

“That’s it?” I reach down and swipe up my jeans, putting them on, and shake my head when the plate is held in front of my face. “Let me shower first.”

“Then you need to eat.”

I roll my eyes, saying, “Yes, dear.” And stand to yank up my pants.

Jake walks around me, smirking. “Are you always this moody after you take a nap?”

“I’m not moody. I’m tired and I feel like shit.”

I glare at the side of his face.

Jesus. He should fucking know exactly how I feel. He’s been through this before.

“I’m joking, Felix.” Jake faces me after setting the plate on the table, and now we’re both glaring at each other. “Ease off. Or I’m not kissing you.”

“What, like, never again?” His face is completely blank when he shrugs. “You better fucking kiss me, you dumbass bitch. You’re one of the only good things I have left!”

A laugh bursts out of his mouth. “Dumbass bitch? What the fuck.”

“I stand by what I said.”

“Fine.”

“Fine.”

Jake inches toward me. “Well? Pucker up, motherfucker.”

“No. I don’t even want to now.” I turn my face and smile when his mouth lands on my cheek. “God. I let you jerk me off once, and you’re like, completely obsessed with me.”

“Pretty much.”

He grabs my chin and forces my head to turn, and I totally kiss him with everything I have.

“You’re going to eat,” he says, teeth dragging across my lip. “I’ll fucking force you if I have to, Felix.”

“No need for violence. I’ll eat.” I lick the sting away. “I just want to shower first.”

Jake looks all over my chest and abs. “Nice jizz.”

“Thanks, asshole.”

“Jesus. You’re mean when you’re in withdrawal.”

I frown instantly.

“Hey. It’s okay.” He kisses me again. “I’m a total fucking bastard when I’m coming off coke. Hopefully you never have to see that.”

“I won’t.”

“You sound pretty damn sure. Do you really believe in me that much?”

“Of course, I do.”

The softest look passes over his face. “Do you want a change of clothes?”

“Yeah. Can I borrow something?”

“Don’t need to.”

Jake walks around me to get to his dresser, and I notice a duffel bag sitting on top with clothes spilling out of it.

I grab my Henley off the floor and pull it on as Jake rummages through his stuff.
