I shrugged before Daddy could answer. “Then we just get out the map. No ogred, no aches. Seems fair to me.”
Carrick’s huff sounded stuffy and very magey, but the fact that he was being dramatic about not being able to make my balls ache made the sound less frustrating.
“Monkey has a point.” Daddy’s voice was bouncing between happy and naughty, so I thought he was having fun making Carrick nuts. “I think that’s fair.”
“I don’t remember promising to be fair.”
That was very magey too.
But also very Dommy.
“I think that’s implied until all the rules and limits are ironed out.” Daddy was very cheerful for how hard they both were against me.
Did being turned on make him happy?
It didn’t seem to help Carrick’s mood but that might’ve been a mage thing.
“Then let’s begin with that.” Carrick’s dry tone made Daddy chuckle, but our mage just ignored it. “Did anyone have a plan for dinner?”
“Monkey has said that he would like a pancake date, a steak date, and a noodle date. They don’t have to be fancy or in any particular order, though.” Daddy sounded very pleased with himself for remembering my list.
“Good job, Daddy. You didn’t forget.” Giving him a pat on the chest, I decided to see if I could get kisses or be felt up, so I straightened and gave him a cute smile. “I’m very proud of you.”
A kiss on his cheek had him laughing quietly and kissing my nose. “That’s the most adorable manipulation ever, monkey.”
“Thank you, Daddy.” Praise was good no matter what the topic. “You’re very sweet to me.”
Oh yes, Daddy liked praise and smiles…I was starting to see why he’d been so grumpy and I hadn’t noticed he was my mate. I hadn’t been smiling at him and Carrick didn’t smile in general. Daddy had been severely lacking in happy attention.
“You’re welcome, monkey.” Daddy leaned down and brushed his lips against mine, looking cute and naughty when I moaned and Carrick huffed. “And you did a very good job making what you wanted clear and easy to remember. I’m very proud of you.”
“This is ridiculous.” Carrick sounded grumpy but then Daddy’s words popped back in my head. Carrick didn’t like being left out and even grumpy mages needed attention too.
Daddy’s eyes were twinkling when I switched back to looking sweet and cute as I turned around to my grumpy mage. “Thank you for helping me, Sir.”
Hmm, yep, he liked it too.
Ugh.
Having two mates who required so much attention was going to make it hard to get anything else done.
They were very lucky my job was so flexible.
Carrick raised one eyebrow and looked very suspicious. “And?”
Lots and lots of attention.
So I started with kissing his cheek and giving my hips a little wiggle. He needed less innocence and more naughty in his attention because he wasn’t a Daddy, and I didn’t want to give him mixed signals so he thought I was as innocent as I looked.
That would be bad.
“I’d have never found my phone and I appreciate how much work you did to find it.” Having a mage for a mate was going to be handier than anyone had ever mentioned.
It made me wonder if Kenzie knew how helpful they could be.
Carrick huffed, not having a good comeback for that, so I took it as a good sign and continued to wiggle and kiss him as he tried to be grumpy. “You shouldn’t have lost it to begin with.”
Maybe, but I wasn’t going to agree to that since I knew it’d happen again before the week was out.
“But you helped me and kept me safe while we looked for it.” That had Carrick puffing up for a moment and looking almost dragon-like.
He loved keeping me safe.
Okay, I was going to remember that.
Daddy was being decidedly unhelpful by nearly giggling behind me, though. He probably thought we were cute and just generally good together, but he was going to make Carrick think I was being manipulative.
If he kept it up, I couldn’t effectively manipulate my mage.
I was going to have to find a way to make sure he understood he couldn’t fuck with my plans just because he liked driving Carrick crazy. It was no wonder they hadn’t had sex or even made out if this was how they flirted.
“And you were trying to find a way to make sure I didn’t lose it again.” His methods were questionable but I approved of the caretaking aspect. “Can I thank you for being so good to me?”
Heat flashed in Carrick’s eyes, but before he could give me what I wanted, Daddy laughed. “Three dates before you can be ogred.”
His helpfulness was going to drive us all crazy.
But I could work with that, so I nibbled on my lower lip and gave Carrick wide eyes. “I was just going to ask to give you kisses. I remembered the rules. I wasn’t going to be naughty.”
