That had been a strategic mistake.

Monroe cocked his head as he started leading us out of the playroom. “He was using your limits list as jerk-off material?”

“Yes.” I wasn’t even going to begin to guess how. “That was what he texted me.”

“He’s had a very busy day then.” Monroe had the most interesting take on the information. “I bet he’s going to be ready to be little and to have some fun.”

Dragons above.

“If you don’t stop fucking with me, I’m going to tell him that I think you’re scared to tell him you want to use the spanking bench.” It was the worst threat I could come up with and I knew I’d gotten it right when Monroe went still.

It only took a few seconds to get a sigh from him and for him to start walking again. “Lorne’s right. You cheat.”

“I like to think of it as guaranteeing a successful outcome.” That was a much better way to look at it. “And if it makes you feel any better, I would use that skill against anyone antagonizing my mates as well.”

Monroe barked out a laugh. “I don’t know if that makes it better or not, but thank you? I have no idea what to say.”

Ridiculous.

“Well, start by telling me what will happen.” That seemed simple enough.

“There’s nothing to worry about.” Stopping as we got to the living room in his cottage-style house, he turned and pulled me into his arms unexpectedly.

Giving me a kiss as I tried to keep frowning at him, he looked very pleased with himself for some reason. “He’s going to come over. We’re going to be excited to see him and ask if he wants to play.”

That seemed reasonable so far.

“We’re going to have an assumptive tone that of course he’s going to want to be little. That will help his transition and it will show him that we’re confident and we want to see his little side.” Monroe gave me another quick peck before releasing me, probably trying to distract me.

“I think that’s going to be his biggest worry based on what he’s said about dating.” When I nodded, not getting sidetracked, he kept going. “So we show him we’re good and we ask what he wants to do. Lorne has opinions on everything and I think that will continue once he sees how we’re going to react.”

It was very logical but left out one important fact…Lorne was never logical.

“And if something goes wrong?” My question had him frowning and shaking his head.

“Wrong? Meaning he’s not little or he gets upset for some reason?” When I nodded, because he hadn’t addressed that at all, he smiled. “There’s no wrong here. If he’s not little, then we have dinner and watch a movie and let him try to seduce us again. If there’s something preventing him from finding his little side, we talk about it and work through whatever is stressing him out.”

I must not have looked like I believed him because he rolled his eyes. “There is no wrong way to do it.”

There was a wrong way to do everything.

But he was saved from that lecture by the doorbell ringing through the house. Monroe didn’t seem to realize how lucky he was, but his smile got wider. “He’s here.”

There should’ve been someone else around to wish us luck, but it seemed like Monroe thought we wouldn’t need it.

“This is going to be fun.”

He was insane.

Chapter 13

Monroe

“Daddy, I’m here.” Lorne barreled through the door as soon as it opened, already halfway into being little and descending quickly.

As I grabbed my monkey up in my arms, I whirled him around and sent up a quick thanks that Carrick’s worries hadn’t jinxed us. “Monkey. You are here.”

Giggling, he nodded and tried to climb over my shoulders to see Carrick. “Carri, you’re here too.”

Carrick’s groan did not help Lorne to stop giggling. “That will not work. I will be Sir or Papa, or if you’d prefer, we can look at other options.”

Lorne thought that was wonderfully silly. “Sir Papa.”

As his laughter continued, Carrick sighed and looked at me. “I tried looking up some of the older labels for mates and things like familial terms, but I had a hard time finding one that didn’t actually sound like I was his Master or his biological father.”

And the giggles continued.

But luckily, they had Lorne curling into me as he let out his delight and he didn’t try crawling over me again.

“We’ll come up with an option that will work for everyone.” And that wasn’t Sir Papa or Lorne just going zoom because he thought Carrick should be shortened to Car.

But having to worry about his name when Lorne was little gave Carrick something else to obsess about, so I decided it was a blessing in disguise.

“Are you hungry?” I knew the answer to that before I’d even asked it because Lorne was always hungry, but it distracted him from how much fun it was to drive Carrick crazy.
