“Eggs?” Eddie asks, a smile on his face, and a goofy hat on his head.

“Sure.” I shrug, not wanting to turn his offer down. He’s been working hard on learning how to cook. He nods and hands me a cup of coffee. The smell is amazing, but I fear I’ll never get used to the bitter taste of just plain coffee.

“I want to take you fishing today,” Kieran states. I cough on my coffee, needing another sip to actually start breathing right again.

“You fish?” I ask in a scratchy voice. He nods, his hand still resting on two of his fingers. I don’t see him fishing so much as going out on the boat in the middle of the night for malicious reasons.

“You’re not going to like, kill me out in the middle of nowhere, and have me sleep with the fishes are you?” I make a joke, but his face remains cool and collected. Smiling behind my mug, I shrug. I found it funny.

“I’m having a boat delivered. I rented it for the day,” he continues.

Looking at the dark-colored coffee that tastes bitter and gross, I peer through my lashes at him.

“Will Eddie be accompanying us?”

He looks back at me intently. Those damn eyes undressing me, and I bite my bottom lip remembering nights ago.

“No,” he clips. “Just us.” His bewitching tone hung with longing.

Jesus, help me. He’s either going to kill me, or make me like him more than I already do.

“I don’t have anything to do on a boat.” I throw my hands up, feeling defeated. I can’t go in pants and a shirt.

A sly smirk crosses his face.

“There’s something waiting for you in the bathroom, it should fit,” he informs, and my face falls. What did he do, go shopping for me?

Heading back into the room, I quickly head into the bathroom and find a cute two-piece yellow bikini. I gasp, my hands covering my mouth in an attempt to tone my reaction down.

“I ordered it, it should fit. Let me see it on you when you put it on,” Kieran whispers into the back of my neck, his hands on my hips.

“You got this for me?” I ask in disbelief.

Reaching out I finger the silky material, it’s rich and soft. It’s a name brand for sure. Not that I would care, I’d take a swimsuit from the neighbor right now.

Putting on my yellow bikini, the swell of my breast show, my larger hips than some others are on display, and my entire belly is his for the taking. Looking back at the mirror, I run my hand down my stomach. Why am I so nervous, he’s seen me without a top on before. I know why I’m nervous, last night is why. It changes everything. That kiss had more electricity than a storm.

Putting my hair up into a ponytail, I grab the black and white kimono and closing it around myself before heading out of the bathroom. Kieran sits on the bed, hungry eyes slipping up my legs, body, until finally reaching my eyes.

He stands, and my breathing hitches. wearing dark blue trunks, they look like a Ralph Lauren brand. Either way, he looks good in them. His stomach is chiseled to perfection, his chest hard and sweating and those goddamn tattoos are enough to make a nun weak in the knees. He’s so close I can feel his body heat.

“You look fucking amazing, Leona,” he mutters, walking behind me to observe the backside. He grabs my ass making me let go of the kimono and my clit throbs with longing. Jesus, just touch me already.

“I’d say I have good taste, wouldn’t you?” he whispers in my ear, the stickiness of his breath on my ear sending a shiver down my spine. Closing my eyes I wait for it, his touch to undo the strings, for his lips so skim across my neck, but the only thing that comes is silence. Opening my eyes, I turn and find myself alone in the room.

“Kieran?” I look in the bathroom, but he’s not in there. I find him by the front door

“Ready?” He tosses some keys in his hand, and I smile in response. This man is going to kill me.

He holds his hand out, and I take it. It’s warm and takes over my whole palm. I think he’s going to let go as soon as we’re outside, but he doesn’t. He keeps my hand in his as if he doesn’t care who sees it or what I think about it. He leads me farther across the lawn and the smell of fresh-cut grass strong as Eddie pushes the lawnmower back and forth over the tall grass. He has on some big black headphones and sings along to a song I can’t understand from here. Passing the big oak tree with the tire swing I used to play on as I kid, my eyes sweep to the dock, finding a boat I’ve never seen before floating next to it. My mouth drops.
