“I won’t.” I stuffed the panties into my pocket. “I want Monique in this Palace and she is absolutely the Mountain Mistress—”

“Alright.” Chen shook his head. “Let’s just sit on this until after the battle.”

“Wow.” Duck shook his head and walked off. “Don’t forget my money, brother.”

I scowled at Chen. “You didn’t think it would happen either?”

“Well, I thought the odds were low.” Chen shrugged. “Now, let’s get back to the fight.”

Sighing, I returned my focus to the ring.

Hu handed his phone to his man and then got back into stance. “Remember, Lei, breathe and center.”

Hu and his men advanced.

My body tensed. “Chen, what’s going on with the harem? You said there was a problem.”

“Well. . .we've initiated the Harem Exit Strategy plan.”

One of the men charged my way.

The first move was a blur, a swift kick aimed at my head that I easily dodged.

Air rushed pass.

I countered with a quick jab to his shoulder.

He stumbled back.

I glanced at Chen. “But, what’s the plan?”

Chen’s gaze remained fixed ahead. “The women are currently on a plane to Thailand for a three-week vacation. It's designed to be a period of relaxation and exploration, visiting various parts of the country and being thoroughly spoiled.”

“Good.” I pivoted, just in time to block a blow from one of Hu's men, the impact jarring my arm but not breaking my stance.

I gave him a swift kick to the midsection, blocked another blow, and slammed my fist into his head.

He doubled over and then fell to the floor.

I took several steps to the side. “What else?”

Chen spoke. “We've also arranged for five therapists to accompany them, to ensure their emotional and psychological well-being is attended to during this transition.”

Sweat beaded on my forehead.

I wiped some of it away and sensed another attack from my peripheral vision.

The third man lunged at me with a menacing growl.

Without missing a beat, I pivoted and landed a punch squarely in his back, sending him sprawling to the ground.

Hu asked behind me, “Are you sure you want to get rid of the harem, Lei?”

“If I’m going to take Moni being my Mountain Mistress seriously then why would I keep them around?”

“They could provide some further lessons and. . .experiences—”

“The harem and I have done quite enough. And. . .frankly. . .in that time, not one of them could keep my attention. . .not like Moni.”

“Fair enough.” Hu's eyes widened in surprise. “I see.”

“What else, Chen?”

“To ensure the well-being of those in the harem,” Chen continued. “We've also arranged a job placement program once their time in Thailand is over.”

“Alright.”

“We're working with international partners to help them find suitable employment or pursue education if they wish to do so.”

I looked at Chen with gratitude. “Good, I want them taken care of.”

“Of course, Lei. Their welfare is our priority.”

I turned my attention back to Hu's men. By now, they were regathering their strength, their faces finding determination amidst their exhaustion.

My fists tightened as the men began advancing again.

I was ready for whatever they had to throw at me.

One of them lunged; quickly followed by another who came at me from the side.

With swift, practiced movements, I evaded one and countered the other all in one smooth motion.

Then, they all charged at me at once and it became a symphony of grunts; the slap of skin on skin and the thud of bodies against the mat.

I was in my element, every movement a response, every breath a calculated decision.

But Hu was relentless. His attacks a mix of brute strength and cunning, a lethal combination that had destroyed many.

But I was not just any opponent.

I made sure that I struck like a thunderbolt—powerful and precise.

Chen yelled out. “Use his momentum against him, Lei!”

And I did.

With a fluid motion, I redirected Hu's next attack using his own force to send him stumbling.

The fight was a chaotic chess game, I was thinking three moves ahead but so was Hu. Our exchanges grew more fierce as we pushed each other to the limit.

“Stay focused, Lei.” Chen's voice cut through the intensity. “You're in control.”

Grunting through a jab, I could feel the tide turning, the balance shifting with each successful block and counterattack.

Hu took a desperate swing at me, but I ducked under the blow and retaliated with a hard hook to his jaw.

His eyes fluttered for just a second, and in that moment I seized my opportunity, sweeping his legs out from under him. He hit the mat with a thud that echoed through the ring.

“Alright, alright.” Hu groaned from the floor, raising a hand in surrender. “Good technique.”

I extended my hand to help him up. “I think sex has made me stronger.”

Hu chuckled and then his face twisted as if it hurt to laugh. “Many say the opposite.”

I helped him back up. “What do you mean?”

“Fighters usually don’t have any sex at all before a battle. The idea is that all that backed up sexual aggression will make them wild beasts in battle.”
