Our fathers were easy to deal with. They weren’t here, so they wouldn’t know. Sorted.

Sian was a whole different problem. She refused to be left out of this.

“Do not even think for a second to pull that card! It’s downright rude and insulting.” She looked fierce and wild. The first time in ten months, there was a fire inside her, and I, for one, didn’t want to remove it.

“You’re not going.”

“You’re not the boss of me, Gideon. Coach beat the crap out of your friend and he might have murdered mine. I’m not leaving until I know the truth.”

“This is the truth,” Gideon said. “That man is dangerous. You saw what he did.”

“When there was an unsuspecting student.” Her hands went to her hips. “I’m more than prepared. Do you think you four are going to be able to do this alone?”

“We can handle ourselves,” Gideon said.

“Sian could be of help,” Dante said.

“Stay out of it.” Gideon glared at Dante, who held his hands up in surrender.

“I’m going whether you like it or not. I’m not going to hide away from this. I want answers. Deal with it, or not.”

“A deal, you want to make a deal?” Gideon asked.

I winced.

“Yes, I want to make a deal!” Sian stamped her foot, folded her arms. “I want to come with you for every single investigation you’ve got going on. I want to know what happened to my friend and why.”

“Deal,” Gideon said. “You can be part of it. You can help wherever you can and we won’t leave you behind.”

Now I was confused. One minute he didn’t want her to come, the next he did. I wasn’t even sure what it was anymore.

“Good. Let’s go.”

“Not so fast,” Gideon said, grabbing her arms. “Deals are made with a give and take. You’re doing a lot of taking, and not a whole lot of giving.”

“Then tell me what you want.” She didn’t push him away.

“You, in our bed, ours, completely this time.”

My confusion went out of the window and was replaced by understanding. Someone wanted to fuck their girl and it made total sense. I got it. Phew. I was starting to think I was a bit thick on the update.

“What?” Sian asked.

“You heard me. We’ll fight in your corner. We’ll tell you everything. You won’t be left out on any of the details, but in return, you’ve got to learn to belong to us completely. No holding back. When we kiss you, you kiss us back. When we fuck you, you get the drill.”

I could make so many jokes about that, but I kept my mouth shut as I knew how important this arrangement was.

Staring between the two of them, I waited.

Was it good if the woman played hard to get? Sian didn’t say a word.

“No arguments?” she asked.

“None.”

“Everything?”

“Yes.”

I waited.

“Fine. Deal.” She held her hand out to Gideon’s, which he took, pressing a kiss to her knuckles. “When do you want it to start?”

Gideon captured the back of her neck, pulling her close and tilting her head back. He leaned in as if to kiss her. “Right now, but first, we’ve got a coach to go and see.”

He let her go, and if I hadn’t reached for her, I had a feeling she’d have fallen.

We all left the house, going to Gideon’s car and driving toward the school. Dante sat up front with Gideon, while Sian sat in the back between me and Mateo.

“How is Fred?” Sian asked.

“Fine. He’s doing well.”

“Good.”

I wanted to ask about the library, but I kept it to myself.

“We need Heather’s laptop,” Gideon said. “Do you think you can get it?”

“I should be able to. Her parents don’t like me very much. I’m hoping they haven’t sold it.”

“They would do that?” I asked.

She looked at me and nodded. “It’s what Heather said. Her parents weren’t exactly impressed with her. She once told me that they hated how she talked down to them. She never did. Heather wasn’t like that.”

“She was a good person,” Gideon said.

“Is anyone forgetting she took Sian’s first kiss?” I asked.

“Now’s not the time for jokes,” Dante said.

When was there a time for jokes? I wasn’t joking. I was sad about Heather’s death. Her passing showed our failure to properly take care of her, which pissed me off.

I sat back in my seat and ignored the tense silence filling the car. It was hard to pretend everything was fine.

Gideon had just given Sian an ultimatum to get her back into our bed. Not that I had a problem with that. I missed our Sian. I wanted to touch her, kiss her, fuck her. To feel her tight pussy wrapped around my dick. Some nights I woke up in a sweat trying to imagine it, but nothing helped ease the ache and yearning I felt.

I was being completely selfish in my need, and for now, I didn’t give a fuck.
