Finally, we reached the airport, and I scrambled to unbuckle my seat belt.

“Be careful and don’t run,” Daddy said. “Text me when y’all are ready. And you be polite to Abel’s Daddy, you hear?”

“Yes, Sir!” I opened the door with a grunt and jumped out. He was going to “circle” so we didn’t have to find parking. “Oh, and Daddy?” I poked my head in, and he looked back at me. “I shouldn’t have been on your case about driving faster. It’s not your fault country boys from Texas don’t know how to drive properly in the city. Okay, thanks, bye!” I shut the door on his stunned expression and laughed all the way inside the airport.

That was going to come back and bite me so hard.

But not right now.

National was a small airport right across the river, and I didn’t have a long walk to where the arrivals poured out. I sat down on a bench between the exit doors and the first luggage carousel.

I yawned and pulled up the hood of my new shirt. I’d ordered it online, a matching set of sweats and hoodie, and they had the Air Force emblem printed on them. Colt had given me the biggest nod of approval.

A rush of people emerged from the exit, and I stood up to see if Abel was— He was! I saw him!

“Abel!” I hollered.

He spotted me and grinned sleepily.

I’d forgotten he was quite a bit taller than me. Even taller still was the man right behind Abel, carrying two duffel bags. I’d seen pictures of Madigan on Abel’s Instagram, and he was heavily inked too. He was a tattoo artist.

Unable to stand still anymore, I jogged the last distance, and Abel did the same. Then we threw our arms around each other, and I smiled so hard. He was here!

“It’s so good to see you, babe.” He smacked a loud kiss to my cheek. “Even if you’re hiding.”

I laughed. “I promise, no hiding. We overslept and just threw on whatever we could find.”

“Good.” He smirked and glanced back at his fiancé. He was a total hottie, obviously. Rugged and much older. Not unlike Colt. They were sort of close in age, if I wasn’t mistaken. Madigan was a little younger. “Okay, so this is Madigan. Mad, meet Kit. He’s not as innocent as he looks. He’s got more ink than you do, and he dragged me along to my first munch.”

“And you dragged me along to my first play party, so I think you’ve got me beat,” I retorted. Extending my hand to Madigan, I took a much more polite route. “Nice to finally meet you, Sir. Abel’s told me many things about you.”

“Probably all true.” He smirked faintly and shook my hand. “Good to meet you too, little one.”

Yup, Daddy Dom.

Abel nudged me. “Where are your two?”

“Oh shit, I was gonna text him.” I brought out my phone. “Colt’s outside. Lucas is making us breakfast to have on the porch.” I sent the text and glanced at their luggage. “Are we waiting for more?”

“Nah, we pack light,” Abel replied.

Madigan lifted a pierced brow at Abel. “Is that short for ‘Daddy, we don’t have to bring more because we can shop till we drop in DC’?”

I pressed my lips together to hide a grin.

Abel stared at him. “Maybe.”

I snorted and linked my arm with Abel’s. “Okay, come on. Vacation starts now!”

“Fucking finally,” he groaned, letting me drag him toward the exit. “This season’s been brutal.”

“At least you made the play-offs this year,” I offered. “No matter what, you’re always my NHL star.”

He batted his lashes.

Daddy drove up right as we exited the airport, and I released Abel to open up the back of the SUV.

“May I take your luggage, Sir?”

Madigan gave me a little smile before turning to Abel. “See how well-mannered he is?” Then he sent me a wink and took care of their bags himself.

Abel stuck his tongue out behind Madigan’s back.

I snickered under my breath.

I opened the door to the passenger’s side for Madigan, then, lastly, the door for Abel and me.

“Daddy, this is Abel and Madigan,” I said. “Abel and Madigan, this is Colt the Sadist.”

“You don’t even know, boy,” he told me. “That stunt you pulled earlier…” He shook his head, amused. “Pleasure to meet you, kid.” He nodded at Abel.

“The pleasure is mine, Sir.” Abel buckled in.

Madigan climbed into the passenger seat and shook hands with Colt. “So yours is more polite to other Tops too?”

“Yeah, don’t let the brat fool you,” Colt replied wryly. “Truth be told, Luke and I are relieved he’s finally relaxin’ enough to be a brat with us, but the balance…?” He whistled. “The balance, I gotta beat into him at times.”

Feeling cockier with Abel next to me, I said, “I think I’m a fucking angel.”
