“I would never tell you to get off.” My body vibrated with lust.

“So that means that the big problem will be. . .you going to the cookout with your mouth most definitely smelling like pussy.”

Unprepared for that statement, I laughed.

She shrugged. “I’m just letting you know what type of time I’m on right now. Like. . .I’m trying to saturate your tongue with my pussy today.”

Heat rose within me. “Bring it, Moni.”

Movement sounded further off, slightly interrupting our deliciously heated moment.

I dragged my attention away and to my surprise several of the Mirage’s staff came out of the front double doors, all wearing crips sky blue uniforms and showing off wide smiles.

What are they doing?

This wasn’t their usual behavior. Typically, only the butler greeted me and that would be with him opening the door. Never did all of them come out to say hello.

But today, I saw the chef, her assistants, all of the cleaning staff, the two beach keepers, and even the head of the estate’s security.

What the fuck?

And as they got closer, I saw that all of their gazes were locked on Moni.

Aww. I see now. They want to meet the Mountain Mistress.

That told me that the tea ceremony had indeed done its magic. Regardless of it not getting to full completion, the live presentation had made everyone highly intrigued with her.

I let out a long breath and Moni turned that way and watched them too.

“What’s going on, Lei?”

“Apparently, the staff must want to give you a big welcome to the Mirage.”

“Oh.”

Again, I could hear my father telling me that I would have to share Moni.

Just shut up. I’m not sharing her.

I stifled my groan in annoyance.

Then, one-by-one, the staff lined up in a neat row in front of the entrance and kept their eyes fixated on Moni.

In all my life, I’d seen them do this one other time and that was when my mother had come home from a hip surgery that had kept her in the hospital for several days. She’d wanted to recover at the Mirage, instead of around the prying eyes of the Palace. And they’d come out to greet my mother with a big welcome of relief as well as a show of their utmost respect for her.

Alright.

I pursed my lips.

Let’s see what they’re going to do?

Chapter twelve

The Vagina Sniper

Moni

My heart pounded against my chest as Lei guided me towards the line of smiling staff members.

Each one wore the same sky-blue uniforms—loose sleeved tops and flowy trousers with soft-looking slip-on shoes. The fabric seemed light and airy. Something perfect for the warm, coastal climate.

These interesting wavy patterns adorned their shoulders.

I wasn’t sure if it was just a regular design? Or if it was supposed to mimic the ocean’s waves?

Meanwhile, delicate silver embroidery traced along the edges of their sleeves and collars, depicted seashells and coral motifs.

I took in all of their expressions which were bright, welcoming, and perhaps. . .eager. It was odd to think, but they all looked like they wanted to not only shake my hand but perhaps hug me. . .for a very long time.

Alright. Relax. You’re just bugging out. They don’t want to hug you. They’re just being nice.

But the closer we got to them, the more this nervousness rose within me.

Their smiles were wide, almost too wide, as if they were trying to contain their excitement. Some of them were practically bouncing on their toes, their hands clasped in front of them as if restraining themselves from reaching out too soon.

And a few of them exchanged glances with each other, as if silently communicating their shared enthusiasm.

I caught a glimpse of one woman wringing her hands nervously.

The woman next to her began shifting her weight from foot to foot, with her gaze never leaving me.

O-kay.

The very tall man next to them had a gentle yet intense look. However, he kept smoothing his hands over his uniform as if preparing for a grand occasion.

Well. . .they look just as nervous as I feel.

Once we got six feet from them, another man puffed his chest out in pride and cleared his throat.

Lei stopped us.

Okay, Moni. Breathe. This is just a welcome.

Lei spoke, “Good afternoon, everyone.”

A few of them nodded his way.

The rest continued to watch me.

Then, the man with the puffed-out chest stepped forward. “Welcome, Mountain Master. We hoped to. . .welcome the Mountain Mistress too.”

Someone nervously giggled at the end of the line.

I widened my eyes.

Lei had this weird expression as he took them all in. He didn’t smile or frown, but he did seem a bit. . .taken aback. Maybe, even a little displeased.

Then, Lei spoke, “Yong, we have not officially given her the Mountain Mistress title.”

Yong nodded. “Sorry, sir.”

“No. It’s fine.” Lei sighed. “Her name is Monique. You can call her that.”

“Okay, sir.”

“Just. . .” With his free hand, Lei ran his fingers through his hair as if exasperated. “We came here to relax and get some alone time. There’s no need for extra formalities or. . .well. . .just don’t scare her.”
