When he’d finally gotten off the phone, he’d sighed and complained about how pretending to be boring was hard.

But we were at the point in the day where it didn’t matter if he was big or little, and it was definitely a problem I could fix. “I think Papa is the only one who’s not sticky.”

I wasn’t even going to feel embarrassed about that either, because with magical pleasure, I couldn’t be faulted for any orgasm-related incidents.

“But I have a bag for my cutie in the car. Would you like some pajamas and a binkie? Maybe a stuffed animal?” I wasn’t sure what he was going to say but he nodded and held out his hands. “You want ups?”

As Lorne nodded, I rose and went over to pick him up, not sure if I should ignore the soft cock sticking out of Carrick’s pants or not. “Alright, uppies for the monkey.”

Lorne giggled, snuggling into my arms and making a monkey sound that made Carrick laugh. “Alright, you take the monkey to my shower and I’ll go get the bag for him out of your car.”

That sounded like a good starting point.

“Would you see if I have a gym bag or anything in the back seat? I can’t remember if I have any clothes in there or not.” I was thinking not as I dug into my pocket and passed over my keys, but I was caught off guard when Carrick scoffed.

“Mage. Remember?” He looked offended as he strode out of the living room, shaking his head. “I’m constantly being ignored.”

Lorne pressed his face against my shoulder and almost managed to hide his laughter. Carrick’s rude snort said he heard it, though.

Yep, his hearing was definitely not normal for a mage.

With the cat out of the bag, or the mage out of the house, Lorne’s head popped up. “Papa wants to make you clothes?”

“That’s a very good question.” I shrugged, getting more snickers from the silly monkey. “I think so? I’m honestly not sure what he’s going to do.”

Lorne nodded, looking very thoughtful. “He doesn’t grow things, so it’s hard.”

He wasn’t wrong, but I shot a skeptical look toward the front of the house. “I’m not sure we should tell that to your Papa, though.”

“We like surprises.” Lorne wasn’t worried as he curled back into me. “Scrubbies, Daddy?”

That wasn’t really a question no matter what he seemed to think, but I tried to answer it as best I could. “We definitely need to get all clean. Would you like a bath by yourself or a shower with Daddy?”

I wasn’t sure we’d fit in Carrick’s tub even if it was a generous size.

It was something I knew I wanted to talk about when we started adding on to Lorne’s house, but first we needed to see his house. Somehow, we always ended up at everyone else’s and I wasn’t sure if that was deliberate on his part or not.

“Shower, Daddy.” Lorne kissed my cheek and pointed toward the back of the house. “Get Daddy all clean.”

Sentences seemed to be more and more useless to Lorne, so I did my best to follow the little lord’s directions. “Thank you, monkey.”

Giggling, Lorne made another round of monkey sounds as I made my way through the house and into Carrick’s bedroom. It didn’t exactly feel like home, so it was odd to be in there without Carrick, but Lorne didn’t seem to have that problem.

“Need toys, Daddy.” He huffed, shaking his head like he was channeling our mage again. “And pillows and pretty sparkles and blankets.”

I agreed with several of those points but I wasn’t so sure about the sparkles part. I needed more information before I would blindly agree with that. I’d seen some of Lorne’s favorite outfits and they were blinding…so we were going to talk about what he thought of as pretty first.

“We probably shouldn’t redecorate Papa’s house, monkey.” The monkey in question wasn’t in any mood to be put down, so I kept him wrapped up in my arms as I turned on the water and started puttering around the large bathroom.

“Mine.” Lorne glared at me, looking adorable as he scrunched up his face. “Daddy’s mine. Papa’s mine. Mine’s mine. Mine’s Papa’s. Mine’s Daddy’s. Papa’s Daddy’s. Daddy’s Papa’s.”

That was impossible to follow and I ended up giving him the same disgruntled look back. “I need a chart to keep track of that, but I do understand your point.”

I just wasn’t going to claim that Carrick’s house was mine. We were all going to share Lorne’s, so that was the only thing that mattered.

Lorne wasn’t backing down, though. “I magey.”

That seemed to mean stubborn and sneaky in this case. “Only good little monkeys get to scrub their Daddy.”

He took that very seriously and thought for a few long moments before patting my cheek. “I good monkey.”
