Jason and I cut her a giant check for the land. We never wanted to screw anyone. We only wanted the land and had been willing to pay for it from the start. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t love the idea of my girl having all that damn money. I’m a bastard and love the thought of her depending on me in every way possible, but it doesn’t matter. I’m not letting her go, and I’ll fight to keep her.

“I’m glad it’s all over. I hate to think what might have happened if I’d never met you that night we snuck into the club.” I grip her hips, pulling her more into me.

William Tate is a dead man. Not literally, unfortunately, but he won’t be bothering Savannah anymore. He’s not only being charged with the murder of the preacher but conspiracy to commit murder too, based on the plan he laid out if Savannah hadn’t fallen in line. He was out to take it all for himself. He hoped he’d get Savannah in the end as well, but that would never fucking happen.

“It didn’t matter, sweet girl. You were always in my path.” It hadn’t mattered if she’d come in that night. I’d already been on her trail. I would have found her the next day.

“Are you saying we’ve always been fated?” She smiles down at me.

“Yeah. I was put on this earth to find and protect you.” My whole life led me to her. I pull her down into my lap to kiss her. I can never get enough of her.

I’ve always said I’ve never been a religious man. Until I found Savannah Moreau. I’ll worship her for the rest of my life, living in her heaven.

Epilogue

Savannah

Many years later

“What can I get you ladies?” Pink smirks at Ollie and me from behind the bar. I peek over the bar and take in the short shorts and tiny top she has on.

“You’re going to get yourself in trouble.” I tell her something she already knows. She’s fishing for trouble with that outfit on. I turn, glancing over my shoulder to see where the heck Kane is. He used to loathe every time Pink would bartend for the club all those years ago.

It drove the man insane. So much so he’d come up to the bar and send death glares to any man who would even try to order a drink from her. He always looked so damn out of place because it was the bar of an MC club. Kane didn’t even go to regular bars, let alone ones run by a motorcycle club. All that changed once he laid eyes on Pink, though. The man became a regular until he got her to quit.

Of course Ollie’s strait-laced detective brother went and fell for a girl like Pink. He’d hated this club back then. Hated that his sister fell head over heels for the president of it. Never in a million years would I have thought he would have fallen for one of the club girls. He’s always so reserved that I figured he'd marry some cookie cutter girl. Watching him stumble over himself to get Pink’s attention and love all those years ago is something I’ll never forget.

“Good, I love a bit of trouble.” She winks at me. “Why don’t you girls join me?” She taps the top of the bar. “Have a dance.” Oh, she’s really looking to ruffle Kane’s feathers tonight.

“Why are you trying to get us in trouble too?” I take a step back from the bar.

“This is the best idea you’ve had in a while.” Before I can say another word, Ollie has already boosted herself up onto the bar. Some things never change. She offers me her hand to help pull me up with her. I guess if one of us is going to get in trouble, it might as well be all of us. It has been a while since we’ve gotten into any.

It’s a bit harder to do so when you’re a mom with little ones underfoot. More so when they’re three little energized boys. Not to mention we girls started a youth program years back. I’d always wanted to do something good with the money I got from selling my grandfather’s land.

I went from thinking I had nowhere to live to being a millionaire once I signed on the dotted line. For a long time, the money just sat in the bank. Even after Archer and I got married. He insisted that I keep that money in my name. Said it was mine to do with what I wanted.

It didn’t take me long to figure out what I wanted to do with that money. Especially after hearing Pink’s story. With her and Ollie at my side, we built a whole organization devoted to helping children with any needs they might have, whether they are big or small. I consider myself lucky for having my mom in my life for as long as I had. Not everyone is so lucky.
