“Fuck no, you’re not going there. We have a reputation to uphold and I’ll be damned if I’m gonna let you get me into this shit. Besides, she lives right next door, how the fuck you plan on getting rid of her after she lets you in?”
I scrubbed him hard enough to take a layer off because his ass wasn’t listening to me. “Look!” Now I’m stroking my shit because the memory of her creamy flesh refuse to leave me.
“She’s not our type, and something tells me she’s needy as fuck. You remember the last time we fell into that trap? It was back in college sure, a long time ago, but it took a long time to get away from that stalking twit.”
My dick was like ‘whatever you say buddy’, fuck was gonna do what he wants to regardless. I’m so not amused. I caught myself stroking off to thoughts of her and stopped, switching off the water because the shit wasn’t working.
Back in my bedroom I dragged on some jeans and my favorite Henley before grabbing the keys to my truck and my gym bag and heading for the door. I needed a good hard hitting hour at the gym. I could jump on the machines here for a nice quick workout, but I needed the distraction of people.

I stomped back into the house and slammed the door behind me. My face was so red I could feel the heat of it even through the cold from outside. “What a jerk.” I kicked off my snowy shoes and slid my feet into an even rattier pair of Ugg slippers that I’ve had since college.
My temper was up and there was only one way I knew of to fix that. My new kitchen in the bakery was just about ready for commercial use, but there was no reason I couldn’t try it out.
All the pertinent things were already in place, I was just waiting for the inspector who was taking his sweet time coming out. Everyone here seems to move at a slower pace than I’m used to, but somehow it doesn’t seem to matter.
After a quick shower I threw on one of my many pairs of sweats and a tee since it was going to get very warm in that kitchen in no time, threw on my winter jacket and plodded the few feet to the bakery in the snow.
He was soon forgotten as I mixed and measured before pouring the batter for a new caramel apple cake I was working on but had not yet perfected.
It’s amazing how easily I can get lost doing what I love. It’s one of the reasons I’d gone this route instead of becoming the business major my dad had wanted me to be.
I just can’t see myself in some stuffy office all day. But here, here is where I shine, and by here I mean any outfitted kitchen with the basic necessities. In no time I was back to being my cheerful self again, neighborhood jerk forgotten.

I had the Xmas music blasting through the speakers I’d had installed because music is my other passion. And with the sight of the snow that still fell outside the window, the scent of a scrumptious cake in the oven and the warmth from the stove, it was as if the morning run-in with the bane of my existence had never happened.
I was in such great spirits that I decided to make a batch of cookies and some macaroons for later. The girls had promised to come over later to brain storm about the Grand Opening.
I had lots of ideas of course, seeing as how I’ve been planning this for most of my life. But since they were from here, born and raised, I figured their input couldn’t hurt.
I got so wrapped up that I didn’t recognize the smell at first. And by the time I did, it was almost too late. I stood stock still for all of five seconds as my mind computed what was happening to my limbs.
How had I missed the billow of smoke? Maybe because it was snowing heavier now and it was hard to tell the difference between the two.
I didn’t stop to think as I grabbed my coat and headed out the door heading towards the house. My heart was in my lungs when I pushed the door in and was met with oppressive heat and choking smoke coming from upstairs.
My eyes burned as I tried to make my way in, all the while telling myself how stupid it was to be walking into the fire. It wasn’t that bad yet and I thought I had enough time to rush to my room to grab my important papers.
Having travelled the globe I know how essential those are and what a pain in the neck it is to replace them. It’s funny how many brain cells you lose when faced with danger. Of course if my ass is dead I won’t be able to use any of those important papers.
