EPILOGUE
One year later
Izabella couldn’t believe a year had already passed, but here she was, staying with Corbin most of the time at his place. Sure, she just lived next door, but actually being here with the man she loved, the bad boy who had changed her life, even if he wouldn’t ever fully understand how, felt pretty incredible.
She leaned against the doorframe and stared out the front window, seeing him finishing up the work he was doing on his Harley. They’d taken it out many times, and she couldn’t deny she enjoyed the feeling of the wind on her face, of holding on to Corbin as he sped down the road.
Something was freeing about being on the back of a motorcycle. The only thing holding her down was the other person tucked close to her.
She tucked the towel around herself even tighter, droplets of water slowly sliding down her body after her shower. She could have just gone and gotten dressed, but a part of her liked watching Corbin work on his bike when he didn’t realize she was there.
He was so masculine, so concentrated as grease covered his hands and shirt.
Izabella spent most of her time here with him, and it was exactly where she wanted to be. Not only had a year already passed, but things were looking better for Crestin as well. A job opportunity had opened up for her in their hometown, and her friend was in the process of moving back.
Already, she’d gotten a place not too far from them.
For the past year, they’d spent time together, really getting to know each other. She liked the little things she would have never known about Corbin unless they were in a relationship. Like he put his dirty clothes everywhere except in the hamper or that he liked his toast slightly underdone with butter and apricot jam on it.
The other things might not mean much to others, but to her, it made her realize she was really here, experiencing it all.
The past year had been engrossing, emotional, and she’d never been in love like she was with Corbin. She realized it wasn’t about the sex, which was incredible, or the fact that his bad-boy appeal turned her on. It was the fact she felt like this was who she was supposed to be with and where she was supposed to be in her life.
As she thought about their relationship, about how protective and possessive he was, she felt a warmth steal over her. It didn’t matter how beautiful the women he’d been with were. None of that mattered anymore because they had each other.
She glanced down at her bare toes as memories of the past year came forward in a rush of happiness and pleasure. The sound of the front door opening and closing had her turning and seeing Corbin standing in the foyer.
Her breath always seemed to catch when she saw him, when she took in his muscular body, the way he held himself so confidently, so sure of his surroundings. There was only one person on this planet meant for her, and she was looking at him right now.
Grease covered his shirt and hands, and the scent of him, of motor oil and sweat, came forward, turning her on. Even right now, when he hadn’t touched her, she was wet, aching for him.
He stepped into the living room, and his eyes became heavy-lidded as he looked her up and down. He had a rag in his hands as he cleaned the grease off.
“Hey, baby.”
“Hi.” She lowered her gaze to where she could see his muscle definition through his clothing. Despite the fact he was dirty, she wanted him.
It made her wetter.
“You’re looking at me like you want something, baby,” he said and moved closer.
“I love seeing you after you’ve been working on your motorcycle,” she said breathlessly. She held on to the towel tighter.
“And I like seeing you in nothing but that towel.” He moved a step closer. “In fact, I like coming inside and knowing you’re naked, waiting for me, and I bet you’re ready for me, too, right, baby? All nice and juicy?”
Her body tingled, her pussy clenched, and her nipples hardened. She nodded. He came closer and grabbed the hem of his T-shirt before lifting it over his head. His chest was hard and defined, his muscles pronounced.
“I want you, but I also need to be clean first, baby girl,” he said in his deep voice, the one that felt like it moved along her flesh.
“I kind of like you dirty, though.”
He grinned. “Let me get clean, and then I’ll make you feel really good.” He came toward her and gave her a kiss before going down the hall to the bathroom.
It had to be the fastest shower in history because before she knew it, the bathroom door was opening again, steam billowing out, and Corbin stepping into the hallway in nothing at all. Her heart started beating fast and hard at the sight of his already hard cock and the droplets of water moving down the short ends of his hair and falling on his chest.
