It was time to lay my insecurities to rest and allow myself to grab this chance. My gut told me that these men deserved my trust. My brain told me that we shared interests and could build a solid relationship. But most importantly, my soul told me that they could be the ones I’d waited my whole life for.
“I will,” I answered, as relief and excitement both filled me up. I gasped when four strong arms wrapped around me in a tight hug. The warmth of these men - my men - my Daddies - against me, and their crisp, masculine scent in my nostrils was enough to make me dizzy.
When they pulled away, I immediately missed the feel of their bodies. I wasn’t sure how to ask for more of their touch, or even what the next move should be. But then I remembered that I didn’t have to know. I had not one but two men to lean on and help me through any situation. So I asked shamelessly, “What do we do now?”
Chapter Six
Felix
Even though it was a simple question, it warmed my heart that Ant was comfortable asking my brother and I for guidance. Our mate was already reaching out to us and asking for us to take the lead, and it was better than I ever imagined.
Of course, it wasn’t just me involved. I knew that Enzo had to be feeling the same way as I was, and when I looked at him, I saw the happiness in his eyes, along with the need to care for Ant and give him a special time.
I thought about grabbing the other bags from the truck and showering our boy in gifts, but I didn’t want to overwhelm him. A lot had happened in such a short time.
I wanted him to relax; to not think about the dozens of things that were probably circling his mind. I wanted him to finally allow himself to sink into the lifestyle and enjoy the things it offered. I wanted him to let loose and be my boy, while I soaked it up as his Daddy.
I looked at the area around us and quickly formed an idea that would allow Ant to let go and have a little fun. Keeping my voice so that Ant wouldn’t hear, I whispered to Enzo, “Leaf pile?”
His lip twitched into a smile and whispered back, “Absolutely.”
“Sit right here and relax,” I told Ant with a tap to his knee. “We’ve got an idea.”
He smiled and nodded and my brother and I jumped to our feet. We collected leaves from the ground and dropped them into a large pile. We made sure not to work too quickly to raise any questions from our sweet boy; it had been a big day already, and I didn’t want to overburden him with details of our true identity. I hated to hide anything from him, especially when it came to our mate bond, but it wasn’t the time to divulge everything about our species just yet.
When the leaf pile was tall and wide, we walked over to the blanket where Ant sat, and each offered him a hand. He took both and when we pulled him to his feet, he stared at the leaf mountain with wide, wondrous eyes. His breathing sped up slightly, and his hand trembled in mine.
I could feel Ant's excitement and anticipation, but he stood still. I wasn't sure if he was waiting for instructions or permission, or if perhaps he was just trying to wrap his mind around the moment. But I lowered my mouth to his ear and whispered, "Go ahead, sweet baby. Go play."
Ant looked up at me with a grin that stretched from ear to ear, before turning it on my brother. And then he took off, slow at first, but gaining speed as he neared the pile. His feet kicked leaves and dirt in every direction as they slapped the ground. Then, they left the soil completely as he leapt. He soared for a few moments before landing on the pile, getting completely swallowed up and disappearing.
I held my breath, hoping that we gave him enough padding and that he hadn't hurt himself on the ground. I sighed in relief when his head popped out of the leaves and the beautiful sound of his laughter danced in the air.
"How was it?" I asked, impatient for the details of his fun.
"Amazing! Will you guys please come play with me?"
I looked at Enzo and found all of my own emotions; gratitude, pride, and unbridled happiness, staring back at me. I didn't need to ask if he wanted to join our sweet boy. The answer was obvious.
We bolted towards the pile and hurled ourselves into the leaves, making sure to leave plenty of room on each side of Ant; we had big bodies and would never risk hurting our boy. Unfortunately, our big bodies meant that there wasn't enough padding for us, and it was a hard landing. But, we healed quickly. Besides, I'd jump into a pile of razor blades if it made my boy smile.
