Rather than walking up the path leading to the house, we hit the lawn and walked alongside the place. Yikes. I looked up at the house, all three stories, its presence extra ominous when I was so up close. How many had screamed in there? How many had cried out their orgasms? How many had Colt and Lucas—oh no, not going there.

“What was that cringe for?” Lucas asked.

I huffed out a breath and shook my head. “Jealousy. I was thinking about how many Littles you and Daddy have played with here.”

He chuckled softly and squeezed my hand. “Fewer than you think, and precisely zero if we count subs we felt this kind of connection with—or anything remotely close to it.”

As answers went, that one was really good.

“Damn. It’s hot today, isn’t it?” Lucas released my hand briefly to fold up the sleeves of his button-down. “I think I’ll need a dip in the pool once we’re settled in.”

“Oh, I didn’t know there’s a—whoa…” I came to an abrupt stop as we reached the far corner of the house. “This place is huge, Daddy.” I just gawked.

The massive wooden deck put mine at home to shame. There were two seating areas, each table seating ten, and two Jacuzzis. A barbecue area I just knew Colt had had something to do with. And maybe ten or so feet away from the deck, a big pool overlooked the football field-sized lawn. Beyond that was a forest. Oh, fun—right before the forest began, in a corner I’d almost missed, was an agility course for dogs.

There was more. Trees lined the property, and—

“The third guest house is ours,” he said.

I was getting to that. Six A-frame cabins sat along the west side, and I guessed they were for those we called founding members. Possibly.

“Tomorrow, this place will be packed.” Daddy liked that; I could tell. He studied the grounds with a note of pride, and I grabbed his hand again. My Daddy was one of the founders. Two of the founders, even. They’d been here from the start, working hard, putting in money and time to build this community for us. “I tried to secure one of the guest rooms on the third floor for Madigan and Abel, but they were booked already,” he said. “They’ll be fine with us, though. Come on, I’ll show you.”

I followed him at a quicker pace to the third guesthouse. The roof extended outward, giving the elevated porch cover from rain and such. There was a small couch and a chair and a fire pit, and I loved it already. I wanted to sit here at night with my Daddies, maybe have ice cream with sprinkles, and just be together.

I skipped up onto the porch as Daddy dug out his keys.

“Can we live here forever instead?” I suggested.

Lucas threw me a smirk over his shoulder, then opened the door. “It might be a little too small for that. But I do hope we’ll visit often.”

I wouldn’t necessarily call it small. More…compact. Compact and very cozy. A wood stove whispered promises of winter nights where we could cuddle on one of the two couches. The downstairs was open, a combination of living room area and kitchenette, and, as Daddy explained, a bedroom upstairs.

“Colt hates the bathroom because he always knocks his head on the doorframe.” Daddy crossed the room and opened a door under the steep staircase. Ah, that was where the bathroom was hiding. Well, toilet and sink. I assumed we’d go into the big house if we needed to shower.

“I love it.” I looked around me and couldn’t help but grin. It was the closest I’d come to being in a log cabin. It had that feel, complete with a soft-looking fur rug under the coffee table, the fresh smells of the forest, and the dark, rich colors. I saw Colt in my head; I bet he loved it here too. There was no TV. A bookcase, flannel blankets, and, and, and the little things. The kitchenette in the corner—there was a shelf for a few plates, and mugs hung on hooks underneath it. It was the little things, right? Always the little things.

Last stop was the bedroom upstairs, and I vaguely registered a closet at one end before my gaze landed on the king-size bed. Mattress, I should say. There was no bed frame, just this thick mattress that reached above knee-level, and countless pillows.

Had they fucked anyone here?

Daddy joined me by my side when he’d adjusted the AC. My chest felt tight, and I cursed myself for having been too scared to seek out people before. Had Colt and Lucas not pursued me, I would’ve missed out on all this. I never would’ve felt the happiness they made me feel every day now.

“I think we need new bed linen here,” I said stiffly and turned to Daddy. Something had taken over. Something possessed me to take ownership, and I couldn’t stop it. I didn’t want to. I started unbuttoning Daddy’s shirt without having a real plan. I only knew I wanted to see my territory and mark it.
