“Cal!” I yelp. “Cal, what are you–?”

“I’m still hard, baby,” he replies. “I’m taking you upstairs for round two.”

Reese

Los Angeles. I never thought I would ever wake up here. Especially not Beverly Hills. But that’s what happens.

I wake up in an enormous, comfortable bed, wrapped in expensive sheets beside the man of my dreams. He’s still sleeping, so I coax him out of it with my lips and look up at him as he grows thicker and harder in my mouth. He lets out a groan and runs his fingers through my hair, and it isn’t long before I’m swallowing just like I did last night.

“Fuck, baby,” he growls, pulling me up onto his chest and wrapping his arms around me. “I could get used to waking up like that every morning.”

“Well, you better get used to it, big man,” I giggle. “Because that’s how it’s going to be from now on.”

We lie there and cuddle for a few minutes before Cal takes me into his enormous master bathroom and into a shower that’s bigger than the entire bathroom of my last apartment. We wash each other, dry each other, then go downstairs, where somehow there’s breakfast already waiting for us.

“How?” I ask, as we take a seat at the table on the back porch looking out at the gorgeous view of the hills.

“The car and the plane aren’t the only place I have staff.” He grins before knifing a dollop of butter from the stick and spreading it on his toast. “There’s scrambled eggs there if you’d like some.”

I glance at the bowl in front of me and see it’s filled with scrambled eggs mixed with diced spring onions. Smiling, I grab the serving spoon and heap some onto my plate. Then it’s bacon, toast with butter, orange juice, and a bowl of fresh fruit.

“This is amazing, Cal.” I smile. “You’re a genuine king!”

“Oh, stop.” He laughs.

“You are!”

“Well,” he says, taking my hand, “if I’m a king, you’re my queen.”

It doesn’t take us long to finish breakfast, enjoying each other’s company overlooking the incredible view. Cal says to leave the dishes, as someone from his staff will do them, but I choose to do them for him. “My first actual job as manager,” I tell him. “Managing your dishes.”

Cal chuckles. “Right. Super important.”

“So tell me about this actual job,” I say. “And what will I actually be doing?”

“A lot of managerial things,” he teases, coming up beside me. “Handling my schedule for my tour, appearances, interviews, things like that.”

“Okay, I think I can handle that.” I nod, setting a plate aside.

“Of course you can,” he replies, caressing my back. “And beyond that, just giving me your opinion on things.”

“My opinion on things…”

“Yeah.” He shrugs. “New songs, looks, directions for my career to go in.”

“Oh, God,” I sigh, setting aside another plate. “You can’t be serious, Cal. Me? I could crash your career into the ground!”

“You’d never do that, babe.” He smiles, kissing me tenderly on the lips, sending a wonderous shiver through me. “I trust you implicitly.”

“Uh huh,” I reply, still unsure of myself. “That’s reassuring.”

“Now listen,” he says, checking the time on his phone. “I have to go see my lawyer and sign some end-of-tour documents. I won’t be gone long. Why don’t you use the time to just scope out the house, explore, get familiar with things?”

“Okay.” I smile. “I should probably—oh, God. I haven’t even e-mailed my parents. They don’t even know I’m out here!”

“Yeah, do that,” Cal laughs. “My office and the computer is upstairs, end of the hall on the right.”

He leans in and kisses me again, and I watch as he walks away from me and through the kitchen. I can hear his footsteps echo through the entryway and the sound of metal as he picks up his keys.

“Bye!” I call out. “I already miss you!”

I hear the soft sound of his chuckle. “Already miss you too!”

And then I hear the sound of the door opening, followed by it closing behind him. And then I find myself alone in a Beverly Hills mansion.

“Okay, then…” I say to myself. “Well, well, well…”

It’s a strange feeling. I know he won’t be gone long, but it’s still strange to be on the other side of the country from my family, my job, from Sarah, and to be without Cal by my side—especially considering I just arrived.

Either way, I finish up the dishes quickly and go upstairs to the office to e-mail my parents. They’ll both be at work right now and won’t be able to take my call, but I want to make sure they get a good explanation of what I’m doing out here, and typing up like twenty texts to both of them is just going to be a huge pain. I’ll probably get a call from at least one of them later.
