“Your pussy is so wet for me,” he murmured, his lips against my neck, creating little sparks of need.

“Daemon, please,” I whimpered, rocking myself against his length, the need a clawing thing.

“You sound so good begging for my cock,” he said, teeth nipping my earlobe.

His hips shifted, the head of him pressed against me.

Then, with one thrust, he took every inch of me. My back arched as my moan ripped from deep in my chest.

“Fuck,” Daemon groaned, pressing up to look down at me, his cock settled impossibly deep.

My hips rocked side to side, restless, aching for friction.

Then he was giving it to me, driving slow and deep, giving my body time to adjust to the stretch.

Then, as my nails raked down his back, as my hips rose to meet his thrusts, he moved faster, harder.

My cries were damn near screams as he drove me right to that edge, then sent me shooting over.

I crashed down hard, body shaking, breath catching.

Daemon thrust hard and deep through it, milking it for all it was worth, then slamming to the base as a growl escaped him.

His weight came fully down on me after, his warmth seeping into me, as my heart hammered and my breath rushed out of me.

My mind felt slow and thick from the pleasure. Until, suddenly, my common sense came rushing back.

“Oh, God,” I groaned, pushing at his shoulders.

“Nope. Wrong direction,” he said, pressing a kiss to my shoulder.

“Daemon, off,” I grumbled, pushing his shoulders, then planting my feet on his hips and pushing.

“What is it?” he asked, brows pinched as he sat back on his heels, his body gloriously on display. “What happened?” he asked.

How could I be so stupid?

“We did not just do that.”

“We did. And we did it well,” he said, shooting me a self-satisfied smile.

“We didn’t use anything.”

“Toys?” he asked. “I love a good toy…”

“Protection,” I said, wondering how close the nearest pharmacy was.

“We didn’t need it,” he said, shrugging.

“Um, yes we did.”

“No, sweetness,” he said, hand massaging my knee. “I can’t carry any diseases,” he told me, making my stomach unclench. “And I can only get you pregnant if we really, really want it.”

“You’re sure?” I asked, legs pressed tightly together.

“Positive. But if it makes you feel better, I’ve always used it in the past. Human women… they can’t exactly know what I am. So I wouldn’t be able to explain all this. But, fuck, was it nice to be raw with you,” he said, fingers slipping up and down the outsides of my thighs. “Love the idea of you having my come inside you right now.”

It was vulgar and weird, but somehow, my sex clenched in agreement.

“You do too,” he said, taking a deep breath. Almost like… oh, God. Could he, like, smell my desire?

That was kind of—thrilling, sexy—weird.

“I, uh, need to find the restroom,” I said.

Daemon jumped to his feet, reaching down for my hands, then pulled me onto my own feet.

“Right there,” he said, gesturing.

Thankfully, he turned away so I could penguin-waddle into the bathroom without being seen.

After cleaning up, I inspected myself in the mirror, finding my skin actually had a little color, that there was some life in my eyes.

I even felt better.

Sure, there was still some aching. But now, it was just in my thighs, and thanks to the sex with Daemon, not from some weird demigod sickness, or whatever I’d been dealing with.

I opened the door, ready to wrap my shadows around myself, only to find Daemon standing there, all my many layers of clothes in his hands.

“As much as I would love you to stay just like that, I don’t think we should be going into the Underworld naked.”

The Underworld?

CHAPTER THIRTEEN

Daemon

I wanted to stay in Arick’s house, naked and entwined with Nox, surging back inside her each time the need arose.

But she would never allow it. Not with human lives on her conscience.

So we dressed, accepted some protective gifts from Arick, and climbed back into Nox’s car.

“I don’t understand,” Nox said, cuddled under her blanket in the passenger seat. “You just said that the Hellmouths opened because of witch spells.”

“Back before… all this,” I said, gesturing vaguely. The timing was pretty impeccable because we just so happened to be passing a group of people walking, carrying their belongings on their backs, looking like they’d been through something fucked up.

“And now you think it’s different?”

“I pretty much know it is. Minos said that Dale claimed demons are just… teeming around now. The demonslayers have been out in force.

“These are lesser demons. They shouldn’t be able to get out unless someone opened a Hellmouth. Judging by how many are around now, it seems like they are just… coming out. If they can come out, we can go in.”

“So where are we going then?”

“Back to the Hellmouth I came through with my brother. It was the most recently opened one. Well, aside from the one Lucy came through.”
