Griffin and Zeb like to take me out together, for axe throwing or go karts. Frank and I have been exploring museums, art galleries, and the like. All of us enjoy concerts, and sometimes Zeb, Frank, and I go to hear Griffin play with one of his bands.
The more time we spend together, the more I enjoy being with them. It’s a good sign.
And my lockbox has been permanently retired.
ZEB
“Any dinner requests?”
“A Zebriffin Special,” Ember answers promptly.
Griffin and I grin at each other. He’s been helping me in the kitchen, and the creativity that he used to apply to thinking up pranks has resulted in some fun ideas for meals.
I’ve started thinking of Griffin as the younger brother I never had. Still sometimes annoying, but it’s a lot easier to respond with affection instead of irritation these days. Frank already acted like our big brother, so the three of us are family now, in a way that goes beyond being men who all love the same woman.
It’s healing parts of me that I thought would be scarred forever, and it wouldn’t have been possible without Ember.
Her phone rings. She answers it and says, “Hey Lexy, what’s up?” As they talk, she wanders a short distance away, settling in the living room.
She was worried about their friendship after it all came out about us being involved, because of the way she’d lied to Lexy to keep Kai and Gage from finding out. But Lexy was cool about it. She understood the pressure Ember was under, they talked it out, and everything’s been fine since.
The four of us have gotten together with Lexy, Kai, Gage, and Thorn once or twice, and also with Ava and her guys. Once, we all joined up for a barbecue. That was wild, but in a good way.
“Oh, cool!” Ember says. We all look her way, and she holds the phone away from her face and tells us, “Next Beasts location on the horizon. Getting started soon.”
Our bosses really liked her expansion plan and her vision for the business. So much so, they invited her to work with them on making it happen. This next expansion, she’ll be side by side with Kai and Gage on planning and executing every detail, and she’ll be managing all three locations. All of that comes with another pay hike, of course, which means more help for Ember’s family.
Since we’ve all committed to communicating and keeping those lines open, she talked to us about the way she’d envisioned her future after graduation. A big corporate office somewhere, numerous departments reporting to her, overseeing important projects.
And she’d be great at that, I have no doubt. She’s so smart, and since she works hard at whatever she does, she could run a Fortune 500 company if she set her mind to it.
But for now, at least, she says that Beasts Ink is perfect for her. A different set of challenges than what she’d anticipated, but she’s enjoying them, and finds her work rewarding and fulfilling.
We’d follow her anywhere she wants to go, but she likes being within easy visiting distance of her family, and we like that too. Griffin’s family is also nearby, and Frank’s isn’t too far. We had everyone over for Christmas dinner, which was another one of those wild-but-good things.
Ember was worried about her mom accepting our unconventional relationship, but thanks to that post-graduation lunch, her mom already had a good opinion of us guys. Ember’s sister Hazel helped ease their mom into the idea that we had more than a friendship, so when Ember had a conversation with her, she was only mildly surprised. She wants Ember to be happy, and after another visit where she got to see us at home together, she seems to like the idea of her daughter having more than one man looking after her.
I never imagined my life turning out this way. Proof positive that life may throw us curveballs, but the unexpected can lead us to better things than we thought were possible.
Ember finishes her call and comes back toward the kitchen, and I watch her, all the energy in her petite body, the way she brightens up any room she’s in. She’s our beacon, lighting the way to our own special future.
She’s everything.
“Frog sandwich on pumpernickel with limburger, coming right up,” I announce, and Ember collapses into a chair at the table, giggling madly.
Griffin’s sense of humor might have rubbed off on me a little.
FRANK
“Baby,” I groan.
My only answer is the ragged sounds Ember’s making. I’m on my knees on the bed, leaning back, and she’s wrapped around me, riding me as I rock her.
My arms are supporting her back, and I leave one there and bring a hand around to go for her clit. I need to fuck her hard, and I want her to come first. My finger hits the spot, presses in, circles, and her pussy clamps around me as she shoots over the edge.
