This woman had saved me. Pulled me from the deepest darkest corner and brought me back to light. I’d never be the same again.

Her lips pressed against my neck as they moved along my jaw and finally to my lips where she smiled a beautiful smile.

Carefully lifting her off of me, I reached for a washcloth and cleaned every inch of her body. When I touched between her legs she hissed.

“Are you sore?”

Her face turned red again and it wasn’t from the hot shower. “Yes. But it’s a good kind of hurt.”

With a chuckle, I kissed above her, causing her to moan. I’d have to make sure to leave her alone for a day or two. The last thing I’d want to do is hurt her more.

I quickly washed off as she watched me. Reaching for the water there was a knock on my bathroom door.

Kilyn and I both froze.

“Athanasios? Are you almost done?”

Both our eyes widened in horror as Kilyn covered her mouth and sank down to the floor.

“Athanasios! Can you hear me?”

Kilyn started hitting me on the leg. “Answer her before she walks in here!” she whispered.

“Yeah, Mama. Give me a second.”

Turning off the water, I reached down and helped Kilyn up. We both quickly dried off. Wrapping the towel around her, Kilyn spun in a circle.

“Where should I go?” she whispered.

With a quick glance around, I looked at the window. Kilyn hit me in the stomach. “No!” she hissed as she motioned to the fact that she was wrapped in a towel.

I pointed to the closet where she quickly rushed in.

My hand pushed through my hair as I took a few deep breaths. If my mother heard anything I’d never be able to look her in the eyes again.

Squaring off my shoulders, I drew in one last gulp of air and opened the door. Searching my room quickly, I didn’t see her. “Mama?” I called out.

“I’m in your living room.”

I let out a frustrated sigh and said, “Let me get some clothes on.”

When I finally made my way to the living you, she sat on the sofa staring at me.

Before I even had a chance to open my mouth she said, “Masturbating is a very normal thing, Athanasios.”

My mouth fell open as I stared at her.

Holy fuck.

What was worse? My mother catching me having sex . . . or my mother thinking I jacked off in the shower?

Either way, this was not good.

AFTER THANO LEFT the bathroom, I dashed out of the closet and into his room. Shit! My clothes were in the bathroom but I wanted to hear why his mother was here. Seeing one of Thano’s T-shirts, I slipped it on.

What in the world was his mother doing here? Was this a common thing for her to just show up?

Oh. My. Gawd!

What if we had been in the bedroom having sex and not the shower? She would have walked in on us. I already felt like I was walking on the edge with her.

“Masturbating is a very normal thing, Athanasios.”

Taking a few steps back, I slammed my hands over my mouth to keep my laughter in. She thinks Thano was masturbating in the shower!

Tears were forming in my eyes as I fought like hell to not lose it. I could only imagine Thano’s face right now.

“What?” he practically shouted.

“It’s not the first time I’ve caught one of my boys in the act. It’s perfectly normal . . . ask your father.”

Stumbling back to the bed, I grabbed a pillow and buried my face in it as I laughed my ass off.

“Mama! Really I don’t need to hear this and I wasn’t masturbating!”

My head lifted as my eyes widened.

He wouldn’t.

“Athanasios, please, I understand I was young once.”

Thano moaned and I covered my mouth again.

“It’s not like that.”

“She’s a very beautiful girl, that Kilyn.”

I couldn’t help the smile that spread across my face.

“There is no reason to be ashamed that her body makes you feel things.”

“Mama! Please stop talking.”

Standing, I sunk my teeth into my lip and stood over by the door.

“Now, she could stand to drop a pound or two.”

My mouth gaped open as I looked down at myself. What the hell? I weighed a healthy one hundred twenty-four pounds for my five-foot-three body!

“Oh, Jesus Christ,” Thano mumbled.

I took a step away from the door when I heard his mother walking.

“You do not use the Lord’s name in vain, or I’ll put a bar of soap in your mouth.”

Frowning, I shook my head. She does realize her son is a grown man . . . doesn’t she?

“Mama, I don’t know how to tell you this but I’m almost twenty-nine. You can’t wash my mouth out with soap anymore and Kilyn is perfect. And why are you here?”

The silence that followed had me chewing on my thumbnail.

I heard Katerina take in a deep breath. “I needed to make sure you were sure this time.”
