“Ledger, Chase, what can I get you?” Hank yells out. The music coming from the juke box is turned up, a classic playing, singing about the Earth was quaking, my mind was aching, and we were making it. Tulsa’s hands are above her head, hips swaying to the beat as she sings at the top of her lungs while looking at me.

“Beer. Bottle. They’ve been here, what? An hour, two tops. Do I want to know how many shots Mom bought the girls?” I ask Hank, taking my eyes off Tulsa for less than a minute to place my order and hear the answer. I’m sure they’re three or four deep with zero fucking food in their stomachs.

“Your mom, that’s the one you gotta worry about, bud. She’s four shots deep. Tulsa and Nelle are only two. Neither of them want a hangover tomorrow. Their food is about ready. You want your usual?”

“Please, and thank fuck. Last time Tulsa tied one on, she had a hell of a headache and tried to run away.” My hand wraps around her ankle once Hank moves to the cash register. The bar and grill is one of a kind here in Orange Blossom, serving food, liquor, and providing pool tables—a place for people to come and unwind. I settle on the barstool. My butterfly knows I’m here. Our eyes locked the moment I stepped inside. She was dancing before I got here, but I noticed the shift in her—the sway in her body intensified as she let her inhibitions drop now that she’s got her man here.

She lowers her body. My hand moves off her ankle, and I sit back on the barstool. She’s got my full fucking attention. “Hank, can you make our order to go?” I say to his back and see him nod. My eyes go back to the woman in front of me. Her body is flush from either dancing or me watching her dance, I’m not sure which, but I like it regardless, reminding me of how she looks when I’m buried inside her, breathless and blushing.

“You know, we’re not the only ones who are about to leave. Do you see what I see?” Tulsa drops to all fours. A growl leaves my throat at the vision in front of me, her hair unbound and wild. My hand reaches out. She gets what I want and climbs down and into my lap.

“Tulsa Rose, all I see is you.” Her arms loop around my neck, eyes full of mischief, and fuck me, I’m going to be in for it.

“Good answer, Mr. Sinclair. Though I was referring to the way Chase is looking at Nelle. I love a good matchmaking moment.” She’s been talking about this non-stop. I don’t bother looking. Chase already admitted he liked what he saw when we walked into Hank’s.

“Woman, leave them be. You’ve done everything you can, sending pictures of Chase to Nelle, getting on FaceTime so the two of them could meet. Now it’s up to them.” One of my hands wraps around her lower back, holding her in place, the other reaches for the beer Hank set down for me. “Now, I’ve got our food ordered to go. I’m going to enjoy my beer with my woman in my arms, then I’m taking you home. Hank has Mom, Chase has Nelle. Tonight is for me and you, no one else.” The past few weeks, we have both been busy with work, then Tulsa had to get her house ready for Nelle, and then she was full of worry that Nelle wouldn’t like it here. It’s a huge change of pace to the city living she was accustomed to. Nelle is going to fit right in; all that worry was for nothing.

“Fine. There are still two more people who deserve to find a love like we have.” She takes the beer out of my hand, brings it to her mouth, and tips it up. I watch her throat work the liquid down, and Goddamn if that doesn’t remind me of how she takes my cock, sucking the cum right out of me. I take the bottle from her once she’s done. Since it’s now empty, I place it on the bar.

“Thanks, Hank.” He sets our order down along with the bill. I pull out a couple of hundreds to cover what the girls started, our meals, and what I’m sure is to come.

“No problem, and you know that’s too fucking much,” Hank grouses.

“You taking Mom home?” He nods.

“That’s not nearly enough, then. Thanks for watching out for her.” I grab the bag and stand up, my hand moving down to Tulsa’s ass. Her legs wrap around my waist, my other hand grabs the bag, and I carry both out of Hanks.

“Ledger, I can walk, you know,” Tulsa laughs. “I know what you’re doing. You’re telling all of Orange Blossom who I belong to.”
