“She said no,” Gabriel growled. “You didn’t offer us any lube—there’s no way to fuck her ass without hurting her.”

Don Diego’s cold brown eyes narrowed.

“Just for that, I want you to be the one to do it. You have a horse cock—un hombre muy bien dotado! And I want to see all of it shoved up your little sister’s tight little asshole!”

Gabriel’s eyes blazed.

“Vete al la mierda, asshole!”

“We’ll make love to Zoe, but we’re not going to hurt her so you can get off on it,” Christopher added.

He and Gabriel closed ranks around me, glaring at the laptop where Don Diego was frowning at the three of us. I thought he would try to reason with us, but he only shrugged.

“Very well, I do believe I have enough footage for my little movie. Do I not, Lupio?”

“You have more than enough, Don Diego.” Lupio, who was still holding the camera, nodded.

“Bien. Then these three have served their purpose—execute them.”

“What?” Gabriel growled. “You fucking cabron! You promised to set us free if we fucked our little sister and we fucking did it! We committed incest for you!”

“You certainly did. Unfortunately, Don Diego has changed his mind.” The drug king shrugged his shoulders. “So now, I think it is time to make use of the graves I had Lupio dig earlier.”

“Yes, of course Don Diego. I will have them executed at once,” Lupio said. “Would you like me to film it as well?”

Before he could answer, there was a chorus of howling from outside.

Gabriel and Christopher stiffened immediately and looked at each other.

“Those aren’t the Pack Master’s Alphas,” Gabriel said in a low voice. “I know the sound of every wolf in our Pack—I don’t recognize a single voice.”

“Shit—it must be Moncrieff’s Pack!” Christopher looked at me anxiously. “And Zoe’s covered in our scent!”

“Forget our scent—she’s covered in our seed. And filled with it too!” Gabriel turned and took me by the shoulders. “Listen to me, Zoe—you have to either wash our scent and seed off you or find a way to cover it!”

“But…but how?” I looked around for any way at all to do what he said. If I could get out of here and into the bathroom I would have access to soap and water, but the door was locked and there was an armed guard between me and it.

It was the same guard who had come into the bathroom with me that morning, actually. He was holding his rifle ready and watching Lupio for instructions in Spanish.

“Things are about to happen fast,” Gabriel went on. “Christopher and I will do our best to protect you but once we Shift, we won’t be able to Shift back for a little while.”

“You’re going to Shift—change into wolves right here? Right now?” I asked faintly.

“It’s the only way to fight the guards—and to communicate with Moncrieff’s Pack,” Christopher said. “Don’t worry, Little Sis,” he added, giving me a swift kiss on the cheek. “We’re going to keep you safe—you belong to us now. We’ve claimed you.”

“You’re our mate in all ways but one,” Gabriel agreed.

“Meaning…because you haven’t, er, knotted me?” I asked.

My older stepbrother gave a short, sharp nod.

“Forming a bond with our own little sister,” he muttered, raking a hand through his hair “It’s the fucking definition of breaking the Unbreakable Laws, but I don’t think there’s any going back after what we’ve done together.”

“Not that we want to,” Christopher added earnestly. “Which Gabe would admit, if he wasn’t so straight-laced.”

“Chinga tu madre!” Gabriel growled.

“Don’t you mean “Chinga tu hermanita?” Christopher remarked, a sarcastic smile tugging at the corners of his mouth.

“What are you all talking about? Lupio! What is that noise I am hearing?” Don Diego demanded from the laptop.

“I think it’s a pack of wolves—lobos, Don Diego,” Lupio was still holding the camera. He and the guard had paused while we were having our quiet but intense conversation, their heads cocked uneasily to the side as they listened to the wolf pack outside.

By the sound, it must be a big pack, I decided—and they must have the house surrounded because I heard the howls all around us.

“We can’t wait any longer.” Gabriel looked at Christopher. “I’ll go for the guard and you get that fucker Lupio. Ready?”

Christopher nodded.

“Ready.”

And then they both began to change, right in front of my eyes.

TWENTY-SEVEN

It happened so fast I couldn’t quite catch it all. One moment my two stepbrothers were standing there, big and naked and muscular and the next moment their bodies were contorting and fur was flowing over their skin.

Not a moment later there were two enormous wolves on either side of me—one with black fur and one with golden brown fur.

Lupio and the guard had both been watching the transformation, but the laptop was turned in such a way that Don Diego couldn’t see it.
