“Well,” I say with a grin. “What are we waiting for? Let’s break it in.”
Chapter 34
Caroline
It's a year later and I’ve settled into my rightful throne at Sin, Inc. I'm in control now and let me tell you: coming into contact with my darker nature, the real me, has given me a kind of fearlessness that can't be matched.
I’m a force to be reckoned with. I’ve become the most feared crime lord the city has ever seen, and together with my seven partners, we control every aspect and detail of the city.
My Seven Deadly Sinners are now called my Seven Defenders, and they hunt down anybody who threatens my position. The group of us are a happy family, and what's more thrilling is that I'm pregnant.
There’s no way to really tell whose baby it is, genetically, but it’s not a concern. All of us are family and all the men are equal in my eyes. This will be the most beloved child, and will become a force of nature in her own right. We’ll see to that. We’ve collectively decided to name her Lilith.
I run a tight ship but I have changed a few things around Sin, Inc. For one thing, we’re true to our word. If someone needs money, we shelter them and exchange services, but I have released all the women who were held here like Kandy once was.
There are no permanent prisoners here anymore, except for the people who really deserve it, the scum of society. And even then, I have a unique relationship with the policemen in the city and I hand them a criminal on a silver platter in exchange for their loyalty to me. One way or another, crime in the city is being cleaned up thanks to our efforts.
We’re still a den of sin, and dark and sinister things go on behind these walls. But it’s the kind of sinister you want to have. Women and men come to me for protection. And my word is my bond, so everyone knows they can trust what I tell them. We help people, but we also run the biggest underground crime scene in the country.
I'm sitting at my desk looking out over the city. I kick my heels off and rub my tummy. The baby in there is going to grow up in a way I never could. She’ll never idolize me the way I did my father. I’ll teach her to be tough and to see things as they are, not with a film of perfection spread over the lens.
It’s only by knowing my darker layers that I’ve shed the skins of perfection and innocence like a snake sheds its scaly exterior. That was never me. I thought I was this naive, people-pleasing kind of girl. A virgin.
But really underneath all that was this empowered woman just waiting to come out. Now I’m so at ease within myself that I can be dominated by seven men at once and still maintain my inner power.
Justin comes into the office. He sees me sitting like this, my legs spread out across the desk, and he just can't resist.
"Hey baby," I say, smiling wide.
He gets to his knees and his head is up under my skirt. He just can't get enough of my pregnancy scent and taste. It's new territory for him and he can't resist.
"Can't get enough huh?" I grip the sides of my chair as I feel his tongue plunge into me.
Arsen comes in next. He sees Justin between my legs and immediately has to claim his own piece of me. He kisses my shoulder, my neck, my décolletage, and it’s driving me wild.
"It's okay baby," I murmur. "There's enough for everyone."
The guys are slowly becoming aware of what’s happening in my office. It's as if a silent call has been put out through the building, and in comes Ares and Apollo.
Ares hangs back to watch. His favorite thing, as always, is to see me being consumed by the other guys so that he has a chance to become jealous.
I look him in the eyes, taunting him, while he sees what Justin and Arsen are doing to me.
Apollo is used to being the leader and I don't deny that to him. He can dominate me all day long. He begins to peel the clothes off my body, priming me for entry.
I bite my lip. The anticipation is rising in me. Apollo gets me naked in no time and he circles the little bump, our baby, with the palm of his big hand. I moan and arch my back.
Samuel enters my office and just looking at him makes me want to come, and that's just how he likes it. He likes me after I'm all worked up so that he can reap the reward of my arousal with little effort at all. He's so hot that I swear one look at him makes me sticky.
