Jonah nodded—then proceeded to down his entire Jack and Coke. “Right. You’re right.” His eyes slid back to the stage. “It’s just… God, he’s just so fucking hot.”

Sean grinned and shook his head, scanning the crowd. Not for Max, though. He definitely wasn’t looking for Max. Not in the slightest. Okay, maybe a little.

He pulled out his phone and checked again for messages. Nothing. He frowned. He’d texted Max on his emergency line, so he definitely would’ve gotten the message by now. It’d been over an hour since he sent it. Which meant Max was ignoring him. Choosing not to reply.

Sean’s frown turned to a scowl. What a dick.

Although, technically he could be with a client right now and not even have his phone on him. Sean’s stomach twisted anxiously at the thought of Max with another. Touching them. Fucking them. Letting them suck his dick. He grimaced and looked down. Fuck. Now he felt sick, too.

Take your own advice. He’s just a guy. Don’t let him steal your Friday happy.

Sean closed his eyes, drew in a breath, then lifted his head and looked Ledger’s way. He was wrapping up a set. Should be done any minute.

Beside him, Jonah turned and waved down the bartender. “Two kamikazes.”

Sean lifted a brow and grinned.

Jonah shrugged. “What? It’s fitting.”

“Fitting? How’s so?”

Jonah smiled. “Tonight’s theme.” The barkeep hustled by, dropping their drinks off as he went. Jonah swiped them up and handed one to Sean. “You know… kamikazes… bombs away… crash and burn.”

Sean coughed out a laugh. “You are not gonna crash and burn.”

“Cheers to that.” Joe downed his shot. Sean did, too.

The song ended.

“His set’s over.” Sean gestured to the stage. “He’ll be on his way over in a sec.”

“He knows we’re here?”

“Yeah. Hailed him with my lighter.”

“You did? But when?”

“When you were ordering drinks.”

“So he’s known that we’ve been here this whole freaking time?”

Sean laughed. “Uh…Yup.”

“Oh, my God,” Jonah groaned. “He probably saw me staring. Like continuously and shit.”

Sean laughed again. “Who cares? If you haven’t noticed, the whole friggin’ club’s staring. Because Ledger’s the entertainment.”

Jonah waved at the bartender for another Jack and Coke, his expression suddenly sheepish. “Oh, yeah.”

Sean grinned and shook his head again.

Abruptly, Jonah frowned and looked at him. “I just thought of something. You said Ledger called me hot when he saw you texting me. But our pictures don’t show up on texts. How’d he see what I looked like?”

Sean shrugged and picked up his longneck. “It was the night you were shopping for clothes and needed my help.”

Jonah cocked his head, confused, then his eyes shot wide. “When I was in that fucking dressing room? With all those pink shirts?”

Sean laughed and took a swig. “Yes. That’s exactly when.”

Joe planted both hands anxiously atop his own head. “Oh, my God. Oh, my God. I have to kill you for this one.”

Sean laughed even harder, almost choking on his drink.

“Do not fucking laugh, bro! This is so not fucking—”

“Hello, gentlemen.”

Jonah froze like a statue, clearly not having seen Ledger approaching from behind.

Sean smiled and shot Joe a wink.

Joe scowled and dropped his hands.

“S’up, Ledger,” Sean greeted. “You’re in a zone tonight.”

“I am.” Ledger grinned and crossed his arms, then turned his attention to Jonah. “Wow. Who’s your friend?”

Jonah pocketed his hands.

“This is Jonah. My roommate.”

Recognition flashed in Ledger’s eyes. “Ah. The hottie.” He looked Jonah over. “I remember you now. On Sean’s phone.” He frowned a little. “But you were wearing glasses. Where’d they go?”

Jonah’s face flushed pink. “I uh… left ‘em at home.”

“Hmm. Too bad.”

Jonah blinked, as if surprised, but quickly regrouped. “So, um, anyway…” He scratched his neck and chin-pointed to the stage. “You’re uh… really good.”

Ledger’s lips curved. His gaze glittered. “You’ve got no idea.”

Sean rolled his eyes and laughed. That man did not know subtle. “Your Fall Out Boys set rocked. What else you got slated?”

Slowly, unhurriedly, Ledger peeled his eyes off Jonah. “Next set’s Panic at the Disco. Last set’s Pilots. You know, the trio. Gotta keep good friends together.”

Jonah all but lit up. He loved those bands, too. “Dude. That’s right. Those guys are all crazy tight.”

“Yup.” Ledger nodded. “Fall Out Boys got Panic signed.”

Jonah’s smile widened. “Yeah, I read that somewhere.” His eyes turned googly. “So, which, um, album’s your favorite?”

Ledger grinned and shifted his folded arms. “Of who; Fall Out Boys or Panic?”

Joe’s gaze dropped to Ledger’s mouth, watching it move. Or maybe he was ogling the spike piercing beneath it. “Yes,” he mumbled.

Ledger chuckled. “Yes?”

Jonah blinked and looked up. “Uh…”

Sean laughed. Jonah’s awkwardness needed some rescuing. “Panic. Pretty sure he meant which one of Panic’s.”

Both guys looked at him, Ledger’s smirk saying, “Nice save,” while Jonah’s flushed cheeks said, “God bless you.”

Ledger scratched his cheek. “Damn. That’s a hard one. For real. I love their older stuff, but Death of a Bachelor seriously rocks.”
