“Holy fuck, that’s cold.” He shivered violently, and I grabbed the little towel from him and helped him wipe his feet dry. “The shit we do, Owner.”

I smiled and rose again. We weren’t the only ones who’d changed. As more people filled up the place, at least a third had changed into their kinky clothes, whether it was simple jeans like me or baby-doll dresses like Ivy, latex like Penelope, or leather like many of the Tops.

Not a whole lot of us walked around barefoot, though. Slaves, yes, but not many Masters. For me, I couldn’t really explain it. I just preferred that for when I hosted demos. I spent my everyday life in suits and expensive shoes. I didn’t want that out here. I dressed down for kink.

We were good and ready. I stuck half the little towel into my back pocket, and then I cupped Macklin’s face in my hands and kissed him chastely.

“High-protocol starting now.”

He nodded once, eyes revealing how much he’d waited for this. “Yes, Master. I remember—and if you want to change anything from our old structure, you’ll let me know.”

“Absolutely.” I doubted there was anything I wanted to change. Our TPE moments had been perfection even when everything else in our life had fallen apart. “You may greet our friends if they’re allowed, but then you’ll kneel at my feet.”

“Yes, Master.”

Good boy.

He stayed a couple paces behind me, and I walked toward the seating area where they were waiting—except Lucian and Cam, perhaps. They weren’t there at the moment.

It appeared Rio’s slave girl wasn’t approachable, so Macklin would have to say hello to her later. She was already kneeling at Rio’s feet and had her head bowed. Chelsea, I remembered her name was. I’d only met her once, and by then, Macklin and I had broken up. I’d flown out to visit, which hadn’t been the same experience on my own.

Rio was the Master who dressed up for kink rather than down. With an impressive background working for Doctors Without Borders, he’d been all over the world. Nowadays, he spent his days in scrubs at a private clinic with comfortable work hours, saving the nicer suits for kink occasions.

He was the first to spot me, and he grinned and rose from his chair. “About damn time, mate.”

“Ohmigosh! Hi, Master McKenna!” Kayla, Nick’s Little, rushed over to me first.

I laughed softly and squeezed her to me. “Hi, sweetheart. I’m surprised you’re not running around with Ivy already.”

Kayla was the sub I’d seen the most, because she and Nick liked to travel. Otherwise, it was the Tops we went way back with. Their relationships with their subs were relatively new.

Cade had spent a couple months with us not too long ago, however. He’d built most of our kink furniture. But even that had occurred when Macklin and I were broken up, so I hadn’t visited as much as I would’ve liked.

I shook Rio’s hand firmly, then Cade’s and Nick’s. It was incredibly good to see them again, this time with Macklin at my side.

Cade introduced us to his Littles, Dylan and Gabriella, whom I’d met once or twice, though before they’d gotten together with Cade.

“Wonderful to see y’all again.” I sat down in the cushy chair next to Rio’s, and Macklin wrapped up his hushed conversation with Dylan. Mischievous grins would have to wait. “Have the Littles inspected the Little Bar?”

“No!” Kayla gasped. “What’s the Little Bar?”

Well—I scratched my eyebrow. I wasn’t sure where it was these days. Before the renovation, the cabinet for Littles had been behind the regular bar.

“Macklin, do you know where it is?” I asked.

“Yes, Owner. Would you like me to show them?”

I inclined my head. “That’s sweet of you. Bring me a whisky too, please.”

“Ohhhh, can we please go, Daddy?” Gabriella pleaded.

“Sure thing. You know the rules, princess,” Cade responded. “Dylan, hold her hand. If she wanders off, we’ll find her playing with knives somewhere.”

Rio and I cracked up.

Dylan, Gabriella, and Kayla happily joined Macklin, and the four disappeared in the growing crowd.

Cade grinned and ran a hand through his hair. “Should we be worried?”

“Only about sugar highs,” I laughed. “It’s a cabinet full of children’s candy and fun-sized cocktail options.”

Nicholas chuckled. “Heaven for Kayla, in other words.”

It was a popular pit stop for our Littles, for sure.

“Where did Lucian run off to?” I wondered.

Rio smirked faintly. “I believe he needed something from Cameron before we begin our demo.”

Ahh. Say no more. We’d all been there.

Cade turned to Nick. “On that note, should we leave the Masters to their planning and—”

“Walker!” someone yelled. “Is Walker here?”

Was that Tate?

I rose from my seat, because the person sounded distressed, and I excused myself to head toward the lobby.

“He’s over here!” Gretchen hollered from the bar.

A beat later, I spotted Tate in the doorway, and the fear on his face shoved pleasantries aside, and I hurried over to him to see what was wrong.
