She gasped, looking absolutely horrified. “Oh, we’re definitely starting with this one then,” she told me. “Babe!” she called.

“Which one?!” Axel called back.

She giggled, a blush tinting her cheeks. “Whoever!”

Axel came out into the living room wearing a pair of sweats and a plain white t-shirt. “Yes, sweetheart?” he asked her.

She pouted at him, and he sighed, arching a brow at her. “Will you get us a bunch of junk food?” she asked him.

He pressed a kiss to her forehead and walked out of the living room without another word, but she beamed at his back, so I guessed that was answer enough that he was doing what she wanted.

Julian stepped in from outside, and a groan left his lips when he looked at the TV screen. “Seriously?” he asked Meghan, but I could tell he wasn’t really annoyed. I wasn’t sure if he was capable of ever being annoyed with her, to tell the truth.

She snatched a blanket from the back of the couch before she plopped back down next to me. “West has never seen it.”

Julian laughed. “If you like romance movies, then you’ll like this,” Julian told me. He leaned over and pressed a kiss to Meghan’s lips. “I’m going to check on the kids, and then I’m going to work out. If you need me, you know where to find me.”

“Love you,” she told him.

“Always, baby.” He slipped from the living room.

Meghan smiled over at me. “We’re going to watch movies, binge on junk food, and forget about those two men for a little while.”

I smiled at her, so thankful I had someone like Meghan to turn to when I needed time and space. I may not be able to put Lincoln and Jessie out of my mind like she wanted me to, but this would still help give me a little bit of a distraction.

Warm arms were sliding under my body, slowly waking me up. I groaned in protest, opening my eyes to see Lincoln lifting me up into his arms. “It’s alright, baby,” he quietly soothed as he pressed his lips to my forehead.

“Just crash here with her,” Axel whispered as I laid my head back on Lincoln’s shoulder. Jessie’s hand cupped my cheek, his lips resting right above my brow for a moment. “It’s late, and she needs rest anyway. The girls were up for hours watching movies.”

I looped one of my arms around Lincoln’s neck, really just wanting to go back to sleep. I had eaten my weight in junk food, and after laughing and crying so much during the movies, I still just wanted to sleep for a really, really long time.

“Lead the way,” Jessie told him.

I looked up sleepily at my two men once Lincoln laid me on the bed. Jessie quietly shut the door while Lincoln stripped out of his t-shirt and kicked off his shoes, sliding into bed beside me. I pouted at Jessie, reaching my hand out for him.

He gave me a tender smile before he slipped his shirt over his head, kicking his shoes off to the side before he slid into bed on the other side of me. I snuggled close to him as Lincoln pressed up against my back, his hand sliding around my belly. “Did you two work everything out?” I mumbled.

“We talked a lot,” Jessie softly told me. “Got a lot of shit off of both of our chests. We’re okay,” he assured me.

“Good,” I mumbled, already beginning to fall back asleep, the sound of Jessie’s heartbeat beneath my ear lulling me into slumber.

“I love you,” Lincoln whispered into my hair.

“I love you, too,” I mumbled, my words barely coherent.

Jessie laughed softly and tightened the arm he had wrapped around me. “Get some rest, baby girl.”

I sure as fuck didn’t have to be told twice.

I looked up at Lincoln as he strode onto the porch. Another week had passed since he and Jessie had their talk, and things were back to the way they were before Lincoln’s mother passed away.

A few days ago, we’d gone to collect her ashes, and Lincoln had set them in the top of our closet without a word. I knew what he was doing. He was putting her away until he was ready to deal with it.

I just hoped he dealt with it before his feelings began to slowly rip him apart.

“Hey, babe,” he greeted as he leaned down to kiss me.

“Hi,” I breathed, smiling up at him.

He helped me up from the chair, and together, we walked into the house. Jessie was standing at the stove, completely shirtless with his jeans riding low on his hips.

He looked up at me and flashed me a wicked grin. Silently, he crooked a finger at me, and I obediently went to him, my nipples so hard they made my breasts ache.
