Bishop bit his lip as he leaned over and did a bad stage whisper. “I just want to poke him when he does that face.”

Barely holding back a laugh as Cohen rolled his eyes, I whispered before I took another sip. “But it’s nice that he’s being thoughtful.”

Snorting, Bishop shook his head. “Kiss-ass, you just want another reward for being good.”

I’d have died choking on my coffee, but thankfully I’d swallowed before Bishop decided to be a smart-ass. “At least I’m not going to get punished for hiding how I was feeling.”

“Oh.” That had his eyes widening and he sighed as one glance at Cohen had him nodding. “That sucks. I hadn’t thought about that.”

Giggling, I shrugged. “I did.”

“Brat.” Bishop shot me a glare before turning back to Cohen with a sweet smile. “Thank you for helping me.”

Now who was the ass kisser?

I might’ve scoffed, but I was proud that I kept the words to myself.

Daddy couldn’t punish me for thinking snarky comments…and I knew I could get Cohen to agree with that line of thinking, so I wasn’t worried.

“I’m also the one who’s remembering that I asked Cohen a question and I want to hear what he has to say.” Yeah, I was cheeky, but it was the big sweet smile I gave Cohen that had Bishop scoffing.

Cohen managed not to laugh, but he couldn’t keep a straight face no matter how much he tried. “I’m starting to think we should’ve had this conversation with less of an audience.”

Oh, what would he have done to Daddy?

That question must’ve shown on my face because Cohen barked out a laugh and Daddy sucked in a breath like he was an offended old lady. “Really? Such a naughty boy.”

I managed to give them both an innocent who me expression. “I’m being very helpful.”

Mostly.

As Bishop rolled his eyes again, Cohen chuckled. “More than the drama queen pup.”

And that was all that counted at the moment.

“How do you feel about all this?” As much fun as I was having with the whole situation, I wanted to make sure we didn’t accidentally get distracted again and forget the important stuff.

Cohen was back to his thoughtful expression, but Daddy and I managed not to get sidetracked this time. Thankfully, it was a shorter wait and we managed to stay quiet and focused until Cohen started talking through his thoughts. “I think if it seemed like you were together without me all the time I would feel…uncomfortable. That was one of the reasons I didn’t offer to have Bishop move in with me.”

As Bishop’s mouth dropped open, Cohen shrugged and stayed focused on me. “I didn’t want you to feel like an outsider, and yes, I know we haven’t known each other that long.”

Daddy was still flabbergasted, so I stepped in and teased Cohen a bit. “Yeah, you probably need to wait for your one-month anniversary for that discussion.”

As he gave me a cheeky grin, I shifted gears. “But thank you for thinking of me. I don’t know how I’d feel if you lived together, but yeah, it might be weird, and it would’ve definitely made it harder for me to have handled the Bishop dating both of us thing.”

That would’ve just been awkward at the very least.

The more I thought about it, the stranger that felt. “But you don’t get that feeling when you think about us living in the same building, right? Maybe if he did a shorter lease? Then depending on how it was working out, and if he wanted to get something bigger when he knew the area better, he wouldn’t have a long lease to deal with.”

At the very least he’d have more privacy and wouldn’t be living with Wesley forever. He’d probably want to buy something eventually too. I wasn’t nosy enough to ask about the finances of someone I hadn’t known that long—honestly, that applied to both of them—but Bishop wasn’t giving off unemployed and having to eat ramen kind of vibes.

“Do you think the management company that runs your building would have a problem with him technically not having a job?” Cohen didn’t seem to think that was overstepping, so I had a feeling being nosy about that kind of stuff might be a Dom thing.

Ignoring the way Daddy was looking at us like we were being ridiculous, I shrugged. “I don’t think so as long as he can show he can pay the deposit. One of the other tenants said that she was between jobs when she moved and they just made her pay an extra month's rent as a bigger security deposit.”

Cohen and I both glanced at Daddy, wondering if that would be a problem. Daddy finally laughed and shook his head. “You two…that’s not a problem. I just don’t know what I want to do for a job…”
