I shrugged.

It wasn’t my fault Eli told me everything he knew.

He just said something about covering all the bases and being fair?

Eli was weird.

Daddy finally chuckled and leaned over to kiss my head. “You worry too much, cutie. Yes, I told him about you and Cohen. He knows you’re both very important, and he knows you’re very cute. But he doesn’t want to make you nervous, so we don’t have to talk about little stuff or subby stuff and we can all pretend to be vanilla and boring if you want.”

That made me giggle.

Daddy could never be boring.

“But you don’t mind if he knows I’m little and you’re my Daddy?” Everyone at work knew about little me, so ignoring it seemed silly…unless he wouldn’t like it? “What would he think?”

Meeting new people was hard.

Daddy stroked his hand over my head and smiled. “He’s just happy that I’m happy, and he might’ve been a bit surprised I had two wonderful men in my life. But he would not mind you being little at all, and he didn’t seem too surprised that I was a Daddy. So it’s all fine.”

Good.

Oh.

“What about Cohen?” Daddy couldn’t leave him out.

Daddy shrugged. “I’ll figure it out. I want both of you to meet Archer and Declan.”

He was confident enough I didn’t worry about it. Daddy would fix it. “Okay, Daddy.”

As we finished, I snuggled up against Daddy’s leg and rested my head on his thigh. He made a happy sound and petted my head. “I think I have a tired boy.”

Before I could tell him I wasn’t too tired, he said the magic words. “How about I give you a bath?”

A bath?

My head popped up and I wiggled closer, quickly deciding that baths were much better than trying to stay big. “Bubbles? Binkie?”

“And toys.” Daddy kissed my head and took my hands. “Zoomies to the bathroom, cutie.”

Hurry, hurry, hurry…bubbles.

Chapter 20

Bishop

Even yawning and with drooping lids, Ian zoomed to the bathroom, bouncing on the balls of his feet and wiggling excitedly. “Bubbles.”

Like I was going to forget.

“Yes, bubbles.” Kissing his head, I looked around the tight space. It was clean and very grown-up looking. “Do you have bubbles?”

I was pretty sure a variety of soaps would work, but I didn’t want to test out odd things on his skin unless I absolutely had to. Thankfully, Ian nodded and collapsed in a heap of giggles in front of the vanity.

Yep, he had bubbles.

At least a dozen bottles were crammed under the sink next to extra rolls of toilet paper and a variety of cleaning supplies. But nearly every inch of leftover space had some kind of toy or bubble product crammed in.

Which one?

It wasn’t an easy answer, and Ian’s excited wiggles said he was waiting for me to pick the right combination.

All right, I was a Daddy and this was basic Daddy 101 level decisions.

Okay, the vanilla-scented bottle had about half of it gone and it was toward the front, so I picked that one along with a basket of fat little plastic animals that looked like they would float. As I peeked over at Ian, he started to giggle. “Cookies.”

Cookies?

Oh, the smell.

“Cookies are the best.” Making a silly growling sound, I leaned over and pretended to eat his neck. “You’re going to smell yummy.”

Laughing, Ian threw his arms around me and squirmed. “Yummy.”

His giggles continued long after I released his neck and stood, wanting to get him in the tub before he fell asleep. “Nilla.”

And more giggles.

Clearly, smelling like cookies was hilarious.

As the water started to flow and bubbles started to foam, I turned back to my now half-naked little boy.

“Tuck.”

Stuck.

Yep, somehow he’d managed to get the shirt half off and wrapped around his head, but the issue seemed to be the giant plastic boat he was refusing to release. “Tuck, Daddy.”

Oh yes.

Trying not to laugh because he seemed very serious, I took a breath. “Yes, you’re stuck. Give me the boat and I’ll keep it safe for you. Then we can get you unstuck.”

The cutest grumbling came from the mess, but after a moment, Ian huffed. “‘Kay, Daddy.”

Taking the boat that seemed to be for the animals, I set it on the sink before helping him unravel the disaster he’d made of his shirt. I wasn’t sure how he’d done it, but his propensity for racing while little had to be part of it.

“There we go.” Smiling when his head came loose, I put his shirt in the small laundry basket. “All free.”

“Tuck.” He gave the shirt a look like he was blaming the cotton for all the problems in life. Then just as quick, he was smiling again and looking around. “Boat?”

Handing the toy over without laughing, I reached for his jeans as he turned the boat over in his hand and made motor noises. He didn’t even seem to realize what I was doing. There were no reactions or embarrassment as I stripped his clothes off.
