Emerson?

Owner?

I forgot. Who was the idiot?

Telling myself I’d remember after ice cream, I closed my eyes. For just a minute, though. I’d open them up in just a minute.

****

They were looking at me again. “What are you doing?”

Daddy sighed, sounding very Daddy. “Making sure you’re still alive and breathing.”

Hmm.

That wasn’t the answer I’d been expecting.

“Why?” I started patting myself down, wondering if I’d gotten broken. “I’m fine.”

Right?

It sounded like Cohen’s house, not a hospital, so things couldn’t have gone too badly.

Uncle Cohen snorted and explained a bit as Daddy flopped over on the bed making the mattress shake. “You’ve been asleep since your nap yesterday. Yesterday, cutie.”

Shit.

Had I missed work?

Forcing my eyes open, I was glad to see it was still dark enough that I knew I didn’t have to worry yet. “Sorry? Did I miss dinner?”

My stomach said I might’ve, but Cohen just groaned, so he wasn’t helpful.

Daddy must’ve decided it was his turn to talk because he rolled back over and frowned. “You got up to pee around two this morning, but you don’t remember that at all, do you?”

What answer would get me in less trouble?

Before I could figure that out, it was Cohen’s turn to frown. “How did we miss you running yourself into the ground?”

“I wasn’t in the ground.” I’d just been busy this week.

They both just gave me very Dom looks that probably shouldn’t have turned me on, but they did. They were both so sexy…but so frustrated. There was no way it was going to be my turn for a morning blow job.

We needed a chore chart.

“He’s not paying any attention at all.” Daddy sat up, looking worried. It was worse than being frustrated. “What should we do?”

That sounded bad.

“Coffee?” And the toilet. “And…”

What should I ask for? Daddy didn’t look like he’d appreciate pancakes if he was worried about me being sick or something. “Omelets?”

I could eat vegetables for breakfast if it made Daddy happy.

Uncle Cohen barely held back a smirk as he sat up, so I knew at least he wasn’t too upset. “I think that sounds like a good idea, cutie.”

Okay, great, that was good.

Yes.

Now what?

When in doubt look sweet and cuddle.

I remembered my training.

Wiggling closer to Daddy, I curled into his lap. It’d have worked better on Uncle Cohen, but it couldn’t make things worse. “Do you want potatoes too, Daddy? I can talk Uncle Cohen into them.”

‘Cause he thought I was cute and was trying not to laugh.

Daddy sighed, though, and I couldn’t decide if that was a good sound or a worrying one. “You need some good protein and healthy carbs. But I don’t know. You’ve slept so much, you need fuel.”

If Daddy couldn’t decide which healthy food to make me eat, he was definitely distracted.

Had I done this?

Looking at Uncle Cohen and silently begging for help, I wrapped my arms around Daddy’s chest. “I was just a little tired, Daddy. It’s okay.”

And from what I was remembering, the chaos it’d caused was only slightly embarrassing, so I wasn’t going to die the next time I saw Carter…I’d just have a small heart attack.

It’d be fine.

“It’s not okay.” Daddy gave me another hug as Cohen shifted on the bed to wrap himself around us.

“He’s fine. He got plenty of sleep and we’re going to make sure he has a better schedule this week.” Cohen gave me a very Dom glare. “And we’re not going to do a sleepover or anything like that next weekend no matter how cute he pouts.”

Shoot.

Daddy chuckled, pulling me closer so I was draped across his lap. “I agree. We’re also going to make sure we keep more stability in his life. Jumping from house to house every night can’t be good for him.”

I wasn’t going to point out that I wasn’t a baby when Cohen was so close to getting what he wanted…but I wasn’t a baby.

I was a little who didn’t always make good choices.

There was a difference.

But…Cohen was so close.

“But I want to see both of you, Daddy.” I’d told myself I wouldn’t push him, but it seemed like that was what he wanted…so was it really pushing if I was just being a good boy? “I like your bed for cuddles ‘cause you’ve got the big TV and my special bed here for playing and Uncle Cohen’s bed for getting tied up. So we have to keep going round and round.”

Round and round.

No, no “Wheels on the Bus.”

I had to stay big for Uncle Cohen.

Daddy sighed, and this time I was so proud of myself because I knew it was a win sound. “But we didn’t even realize it’s been days since you’ve had a full night’s sleep.”

Yep.

But the blow jobs and midnight pancakes and playtime had been sooo worth it…oh, and not to mention the slushies. Wait. How had I forgotten the photo shoot already?
