It was my unfortunate caveman DNA rising to the surface, but Bishop the pup didn’t seem like he’d mind. I just hoped that beneath all those sexy muscles there was something just as sweet and engaging.
Chemistry was important, but substance was more vital in the long run.
Handing his friend what looked to be a soda of some sort, hopefully not mixed with alcohol, he stood straighter and studied me as I crossed the last few feet between us. I couldn’t decide if he wanted me to see exactly who he was or if it was just to make him feel more confident, but seeing that he was at least an inch taller than my own six foot two made my dick hard.
I might not have been deep in the lifestyle, but I’d explored enough porn to love the image of a big sexy sub like Bishop kneeling in submission.
I just hoped he was patient with my lack of understanding about anything he might need.
Since subs didn’t seem to come with an instruction manual, I was at his mercy and that was not a comfortable position for a variety of reasons.
“Would you care to dance?” I figured getting to the point was the best way to start.
He swallowed, nodding slowly as he let out a breath. “Yes, but I want to make sure you know I’m a pup.”
“I’m aware of that information, but I’m going to need you to explain how you explore that side of yourself.” I thought it was a good response, but he blinked.
Waiting, I let my eyes tease over him, taking in the tight black shirt that was stretched over his chest, drawing my eyes down to the way the soft material was tucked into tight jeans.
The best way to describe him was tempting.
He finally swallowed and his head barely shifted up and down. “I can explain it to you. But I want to make sure you understand that I won’t have sex until you’ve seen my pup and you show me you can handle it.”
I scoffed. I couldn’t help it. “I can handle anything.”
He rolled his eyes. “I’ve heard that before.”
Ignoring the audience we were gathering, I crossed my arms over my chest and smirked. It would only work with this crowd, but I had an ace up my sleeve and I knew it. “I dated Eli and came out sane on the other side.”
Everyone made stupid decisions in college.
“You win.” Bishop nodded and stepped away from his friends. “I would love to dance.”
One hurdle crossed and one to go. “And I would love to see your pup.”
Once I figured out the right questions to ask.
****
“Are you sure you’re comfortable with this?” I’d hate to make him nervous before I really wanted to make him nervous.
His grin said my wicked intentions were a bit clearer than I’d intended. “Yes.”
Drinks and dessert it was.
“Fine.” I gave him a stern look as we followed Wesley and his boyfriend Tyler out to the parking lot. “But if you pull one of those gym rat pouts and start listing off all the carbs in things, we’re going to talk about punishments.”
His laughter and the way he blushed gave very mixed signals, but since neither seemed to be bad, I just kept up the teasing. “There are limits to what kind of naughty behavior I’ll put up with, no matter how sexy you look.”
Carbs were wonderful things.
I could handle any kink. But no junk food? That would be terrible.
Wesley’s soft giggle said he thought I was funny too and clearly not a threat because he was letting me take Bishop out without looking at me like I was stealing small kittens from him.
I knew that look because I’d gotten it from him the only other times we’d met.
“I’ll remember that.” Bishop’s cheeky grin as he went a bright red color didn’t say what kind of punishments he’d enjoy, but he certainly wasn’t afraid of me, so I was taking that as a good thing too.
“I’m counting on it.” And I was counting on him being just as easy to talk to about the kink side of things as he had about everything else when we were dancing, but I wasn’t sure if that was just wishful thinking.
I started to worry that would be the case, though, when he slowed and his voice dropped to a quiet, more serious tone. “I’m going to ask a question and it’s not leading.”
He took a breath before I could decide how to respond and charged right back in, no longer meeting my gaze. “So just answer it honestly?”
What was he going to ask?
“I will always answer you honestly, but I just ask that if I offend you in some way, you’ll talk to me first before you leave me stranded at a restaurant?” That had him peeking over questioningly.
