“He said you've felt this way for a long time.” I couldn't be angry with Wade for sharing this information with his dad. If he hadn't, we might not be having this conversation.

“I assumed it was an innocent crush at first,” I confessed, “But it never went away, and it only got stronger. It didn't take long to realize I had fallen for you. Of course you didn't feel the same at the time because that would have been super pervy.”

“True,” Richmond said with a chuckle.

“But even after I hit legal age, I knew I still had a lot of growing up to do. When I went off to college, I dedicated myself to becoming a better man. I studied hard for my classes, worked as many hours and saved as much money as I could, crafted my body, and gained…experience.” The way he clenched his jaw told me he knew exactly what kind of experience I meant.

“Everything I did was to become the best version of myself for you,” I continued. “I hoped I would come home and you'd want to be with the man I became. That's why it hurt so badly when you pushed me away. It felt like every dream I had, everything I worked for, came crashing down.”

Richmond reached across the table, offering me his hand, and I happily placed my palm on his. “Gavin, the best version of yourself is whatever makes you happy. You don't need to do anything to impress me or anyone else. You're a good man with a good heart, and that's what matters. I'm sorry I pushed you away. I promise to never do it again.”

“I should have been more open with you, too,” I conceded. “I was embarrassed and afraid of getting pushed away even more.”

Richmond squeezed my hand. “Believe me, I understand. And to be open and honest, there's still one thing that worries me about us.”

“Wade?” I assumed, but Richmond shook his head, causing my panic to rise.

“I was worried about him at first. When you mentioned him at my place, my mind spun with everything that could go wrong if we pursued a relationship; Wade getting pissed or disgusted, or the friendship between the two of you getting damaged. I would never want to cause issues between you; I know how much you mean to Wade.”

“He means a lot to me too.” It was a gross understatement, but all my worried mind could come up with as I waited for the shoe to drop.

“But I had a long conversation with my son last night. He told me he would be fully on board if you and I got together. He wishes us nothing but happiness.”

I nodded. I already knew as much, since Wade had told me many times. “So, what are you worried about?”

“I'm worried that after you've dreamed of being together for so long, and built up expectations in your mind, that I'll disappoint you. I'm worried I won't stack up to your dreams. I never want to let you down.”

I was on my feet and halfway around the table before I realized I'd stood up. I scooted Richmond's plate away and sat down on the edge of the tabletop. I wanted to be closer so he could see the sincerity in my eyes when I told him, “You could never let me down. You don't have to do anything special for me, either. I've dreamed of being with you because of who you are.” I reached out to comb my fingers through his hair. “I just want you.”

“I want you, too.”

I curled my fingers around the back of his head and pulled him towards me as I leaned forward. Now that I knew we were on the same page, I was fine with taking the lead. Our lips touched and colorful bursts of light danced behind my eyelids as pleasure and excitement coursed through me.

This kiss was even better than our first; it wasn't marred by uncertainty or nerves. It turned heated just as quickly as last time; our syrupy sweet tongues battled and our teeth nipped as moans flowed easily from both of us.

Richmond’s hands grazed down my torso, feeling every ridge and divot. His fingertips curled into the waistband of my sweatpants, and he broke our kiss to ask, “Is this okay?”

“Hell yes.” I planted my palms on the table and lifted my ass so that Richmond could shimmy my pants down my legs.

His gaze zeroed in on my cock, standing at attention and begging to be touched. I was about six inches long and cut; pretty average, but Richmond looked at me like he'd struck gold.

Before I could process his movement, he leaned down and wrapped his lips around my crown. I sank my fingers into his hair once more as he flicked his tongue against my slit. I didn't pull or guide; I just needed to feel him in my hold.
