“Here’s your package.” Addie puts the box in the corner with the other dozen. “I need to go change and do a load of laundry. Those babies are adorable but messy.”

“Which one got you?” Rowan asks sympathetically.

“Koby.”

“How’s Jewls?”

“Wonder Woman, but I think it’s sinking in that all the parents are leaving soon.” Mom hangs up her coat. “Cindy offered to stay on a while longer to help them, but Major shot down that idea.”

I glance over to Ace, knowing he’s thinking the same. Major is ready to have his family to himself.

“Who wants wine?” Rowan shifts to rise, but I grip her hips.

“They can get it.”

“He’s right, Rowan. We are capable of serving ourselves, but I need to steal you away. While we’re all here, it’s an opportune time to discuss wedding planning.”

“We’re not getting married until after the house is built.”

Irritation stirs in my gut at Rowan’s announcement. All eyes swing to her, a few throats clearing.

“Bullshit,” I deadpan.

“It’s not bullshit. We have too much happening,” she chirps, unaware of the audience’s rapt attention.

“They lay our foundation next week, but it’s winter. There will be weather delays. A construction timeline isn’t dictating our wedding.”

“The holidays are my busiest time of year. And I haven’t started research on venues. We’re in no rush.”

I’m pretty sure it’s Ace who grumbles, feeling my frustration.

“Carson?” I call.

My sister retrieves a folder out of her oversized purse. “I’ve done the research. Plantations, wineries, churches, hotels—you name it, I’ve got all the hotspots here.”

“If you decide to get married at home, the country club is already sending me information,” Cassie chimes in.

Rowan’s jaw drops.

“Ummm, I know it isn’t my place to butt in, but can I make a teensy request?” Jay pinches her fingers together. “Can you resist getting married in the weeks surrounding June tenth?”

A quietness lands over the room as she glances around peculiarly. “Doesn’t anyone want to know why?”

Rowan lets out a little squeak, then shoves a bite of cake in her mouth.

Harley’s eyes squint, going to her husband. “Do they know?”

“That you’re with love child?” Talon replies mockingly.

“You told them!?!”

Ace shrugs, grinning wide.

“To be fair, we figured it out when you didn’t drink with us.” Addie returns to the room.

“I only know because Cass told me,” Hotch offers.

“Same,” Dad and Mark agree.

“A mother knows,” my mom says.

“Rowan?” Harley eyes her expectantly.

“I figured it out.”

She lies terribly, but I’m glad she doesn’t reveal that Wallace was her source.

“Is it okay to squeal now?”

A smile slips across Jay’s lips as she nods.

The room erupts in a chorus of cheers, all the girls swarming Harley.

My phone vibrates and I fish it out of my pocket, tensing at the name on the screen.

“Whitman.”

“Never a dull moment,” Max greets.

“You got a situation?” I stand, the chatter in the room dying off.

“Ember’s in labor. They think it’s gonna go fast since it’s her third. The troops are rallying.”

“We’ll be there soon.” I disconnect with all eyes on me.

“Ember’s in labor.”

There’s a stunned silence until Rowan and Harley jump into action.

“Shit, I hoped to be away from that hospital for a while,” Talon grunts, tapping the cast on his arm.

“Letting Major know.” Ace is already on his phone.

“I’ll get our coats.”

I catch Rowan as she passes. “Bring that folder with you.”

“It’s not the right time or place to be prattling about a wedding. There’s a new baby boy on the way.”

“I’ll pick my top three choices. If you don’t agree, we’ll talk about it.”

“You’ll review wedding venues?”

“It means we get this ball rolling for you marrying me, I’ll plan the whole fucking thing.”

Her face lights in a brightness of awe that strikes straight to my soul. “We’ll pick the venue together while we wait. Then Monday, I’ll make calls for availability.”

“We pick a venue and a date, I’ll make it happen.”

I drop my mouth to hers, not caring about the room full of people. She dissolves into me, smiling against my lips.

“Making my dreams come true.”

“Always.”

EPILOGUE

FORD

“Right there.” Rowan’s neck rolls, her head knocking on the door.

“Baby, you want everyone in this house to know I’m fucking you?”

“It’s a big house,” she whimpers, clutching at my shoulders.

I slam up, her pussy and thighs constricting.

“Harder.” Her hoarse demand fuels my determination. My thrusts increase in speed.

“Don’t like when you go missing.”

“Knew you’d find me.”

“Was that the plan?”

“Yes.” Her blue eyes glimmer with satisfaction. “I couldn’t wait any longer.”

My mind goes back to earlier tonight when she walked out of the room in this dress. Tight black material clinging to her skin, stretched around her curves. Her ears, neck, and finger all sparkle with my diamonds.

My dick was instantly hard.

“One look and I knew I was fucking you in this dress,”

“That’s the point.”

I grip her hips and drive up, losing her eyes as she lets out a little purr.

“Get there.”

“Want you.”

My cock throbs with each stroke, ready to blow.
