Cody keys on his phone a bit more before setting it down on the desk and rising to his feet. “Okay. Let’s get this show on the road. The sooner we can get him onto the next task, the better.”
“Let’s not rush things until we see for ourselves,” Seth says. “I’m not gonna be happy if you’ve been this cryptic and he can just do a few spins, you know?”
I snicker. “A few spins…yeah.”
Luke glares at me. We said we wouldn’t give them any clues—we wanted this to be a total surprise, but it’s hard to sit on such a big-ass secret around my closest friends, the guys I’ve trusted with some of my darkest secrets since we met last year.
“Let’s do it.” Luke kneels in the center of the pentagram.
