Her hands went straight to his jeans, unbuttoning them and pulling down the zipper.

Ian turned his head away from her. “Pull over,” he barked to the driver.

The driver pulled onto a side street and stopped the vehicle.

“Get out,” Ian managed to say before Jersey kissed him again while her hand slid down the front of his briefs.

There was nothing like post-concert adrenaline mixed with weeks of not sleeping together—not speaking to each other—to fuel a fire that burned out of control before they could return to the hotel.

“Say it,” she repeated with her hand sliding along his warm, steel erection.

“Jersey, you own me. So even if you’re not mine … I am yours. So fucking deal with it.” His hands cupped her neck, then slid into her hair while his mouth covered hers.

She tugged on his shirt until he removed it with one hand and gripped her head again, kissing her like he thought it was the last kiss they’d ever have. She moaned when he ripped the fabric of her sleeveless blouse, sending buttons onto the seats around them. Ian shoved her bra over her breasts and palmed them with rough hands.

It took him a few seconds to slide her short denim skirt up her waist and destroy her delicate panties. With their next shared, labored breath, he pushed inside of her. They kissed hard and fucked even harder. He maneuvered her beneath him, driving into her with unforgiving thrusts.

The SUV shook.

Ian’s hand smacked the tinted window, his rings clinking against the glass. Their tiny grunts and moans filled the steamy space.

“Fuck it, Coop …” Jersey curled her fingers into the taut muscles of his backside. “I’m y-yours …”

He trapped her nipple between his teeth and tugged it with a chuckle. His other hand slid beneath her and squeezed her ass while he released her nipple. “Jersey girl … that’s old news.”

She couldn’t help but grin when he kissed her.

“Coop …” she dug her heel into the seat and arched her back.

The muscles in his neck stretched when he reared his head back and stilled deep inside of her. “Fuuuck …”

When his body relaxed, sweat dripping from his hair, he gazed down at her and grinned.

“Again,” she whispered.

He laughed, pulling out of her and sitting up to zip his jeans. “Baby, you’re already going to be making the walk of shame into the hotel with one hand holding your shredded panties and the other holding your blouse closed because I ripped off the buttons. Don’t even get me started on my cum running down your legs.”

“I hate that you know this scenario so well,” Jersey said, tucking her breasts back into her bra before wadding her panties between her legs to deal with the dripping cum.

Ian glanced at her after pulling his shirt on, and she knew he was thinking of how much he hated it when she fucked another man a year earlier. He knocked on the window twice, and the driver climbed into the SUV and drove them the rest of the way to the hotel as if he hadn’t stood next to the vehicle, rocking back and forth for a good fifteen minutes.

Cameras flashed the second the driver opened the door at the hotel. And just as Ian said it would happen, Jersey made the walk of shame. There was no way of hiding what they had done between the venue and the hotel. However, Jersey didn’t tuck her chin to hide her face like some groupie who didn’t want their mom to see a viral post the following morning. Jersey didn’t even hold her shirt closed. She strutted into the hotel with her chin up and a massive grin.

Ian glanced back at her, and she winked. He rolled his eyes, but his grin didn’t lie. He loved that Jersey gave no shits.

The following morning before they left the hotel to board the plane, Jersey and Ian ate breakfast on the balcony while watching the sunrise.

“I’m not going to pop out little Coopers.”

Ian lifted his gaze to her while sipping his coffee.

Jersey kept her attention on the sunrise. “I’m not a mom.”

Ian didn’t speak, but when Jersey glanced at him, he gave her a slow nod. He knew why she didn’t want to be a mom. People who saw the worst of the system and lived to tell about it rarely dreamed of babies and soccer games. Ian never gave much thought to having a family. Even when he met Jersey, he only knew that he wanted her.

“I don’t want a wedding, and I’m not wearing a white dress.”

Ian studied her. Was she saying what he thought she was saying?

“We don’t have to tell anyone.” She shrugged but didn’t look at him when she said it.

He cleared his throat. “Tell anyone what?”

“That I let you marry me.” She grinned, but she still didn’t look at him.
