What had just happened? Keyes had been ready to bail then Alec had talked him around in a circle to where he was ready to agree to wanting more. Alec would be very good at his job. Keyes’s chest tightened with panic again. Any common ground between them didn’t replace his cemented status of outlaw biker—the only life he knew. Club meetings, late night runs, drugs, guns. His entire life existed on a completely different side of the law from Alec’s. His uniform consisted of grungy jeans and leather jackets. Alec wore designer suits and Italian shoes.

Alec’s fucking father landed somewhere high up in line to be the president of fucking America. They made no sense together.

The buzzer on the dryer sounded. Keyes’s cue to bolt. Alec moved faster than he thought possible, placing his hands on Keyes’s chest, pushing him away from the laundry room back in the direction of the bedroom. “You promised me my turn. I’ve gotten sustenance into both of us. I’m holding you to your vow.” Alec’s lips were just inches from his. “Nothing’s changed. Nothing. What drove you here tonight is what’s still driving us right now. Let the rest go. It doesn’t matter. Stay with me.” Alec clasped Keyes’s hand before he turned to walk away.

Keyes paused, staying rooted in his spot, his gaze traveling the length of Alec’s body to land on that firm ass. He loved those dimples showing above his low riding short pants.

Some uncontrollable compulsion had him following Alec. “I didn’t promise anything, but I’ll sure as hell give you a turn.”

What the fuck was happening to him?

Tuesday

Keyes’s eyelids popped opened at the sound of birds chirping. He narrowed his tired, gritty eyes and concentrated on listening. They weren’t real birds. Instead, the chirp was happy and timed. The hard body covering his moved at the same time he registered the high, clean ceiling. Maybe that was the wrong word. The ceiling was white. Yes, clean, but really white. His ceiling at home was white, but dingy from all the smoking his father had done over the years. His arm tightened, holding the comfort and warmth of Alec’s body in place. He’d never slept with a lover before. He liked it. Cuddling was something he could do more of. He looked around the room. Sunlight filtered through the bottom of the curtains.

“Fuck.” Keyes bolted upright, dislodging Alec as he looked around for an alarm clock. He spotted one on the nightstand next to Alec. Seven o’clock in the morning. Motherfucker. Keyes whipped off the blankets, rolling from the bed as Alec reached for him, trying to hook an arm around his waist. “I should’ve been at the shop by now.”

“Be late. I’m calling in today. Good morning sex sounds amazing,” a sleepy and extremely sexy Alec said, rubbing his eyes. Keyes stared down and lost himself for a second. A barely awake Alec was just as hot as a coming home from work Alec, who’d looked equally as hot in jeans and a sweatshirt standing in the parking lot of his shop.

Goddammit! The shop he was late for.

Keyes forced himself away from the bed, stalking angrily toward the laundry room where his clothes were still in the dryer. He stopped in the hall bathroom on the way, quickly relieving himself before getting a good look in the mirror. His hair was a tangled, jacked up mess, so he reached for the hair tie that was always at his wrist. It wasn’t there. Dammit.

He opened the door to walk back out into the hallway only to find Alec completely nude, brazenly stroking his hard dick. He let self-anger overtake his instant lust, and somehow managed to bypass Alec and dig his clothes out of the machine.

“Let’s start the day off right,” Alec said from behind him.

“I don’t have time. It’s at least an hour and half drive in mornin’ traffic, and I lost all my employees. It’s just me now,” he said, shoving one leg into his tight-fitting jeans. Alec gave a frustrated sigh as Key quickly dressed, ignoring his own hard dick. While tugging the T-shirt over his head, memories of last night flooded his brain. What he was feeling was all new, and he wanted Alec again so bad he ached. He started to say those very words right as Alec turned and left the room.

He grabbed his underwear and socks and left, going in search of his boots. Alec met him in the hall, still completely nude, that raging hard-on beckoning him as temptation stood there holding his hair tie and brush in one hand and a toothbrush and toothpaste in another. They were new packets of both.

A surge of unexpected aggression licked across his spine, igniting an instant flame of anger, making Keyes stand a little taller. He rolled his shoulders, recognizing the nudge of jealousy churning in his gut. He struggled to tamp down the urge to throw accusations out at Alec. He hadn’t liked what the new packets indicated.
