It’s noon on the East Coast, so I text Abby the same thing I did Malia, except I ask if we can have a video chat with my new Cali friend.
I set my phone back down on the bedside table to give it a chance to fully charge. My body feels sticky from going to bed sweaty last night. I usually like to shower before bed, but I didn’t get a chance yesterday. The alternative was a lot more fun, but now I feel gross.
I step into the shower and let the water wash over me. It feels good until my mind wanders to last night and the way Spencer’s fingertips felt on my body. When he first entered me, he whispered my name in the sexiest way I’ve ever heard. I want to hear my name like that all the time. I clench my legs together. No one has ever made me feel the way Spencer did last night, and somehow I still feel it today.
My mind flashes back even further to when I had that fantasy of him in his own bedroom. It was nothing compared to the real thing. Now that I know what it feels like to be pressed against Spencer, his eyes looking down into mine as he thrusts deep inside me, how will I ever go back to before?
My hand slips down my side until it finds a place between my legs. The vivid memory of Spencer gets me through until I’m collapsed against the cold, tile shower wall. I giggle when I’m finished and go back to washing my hair and body, not believing I just did that. Not that it’s the first time I’ve pleasured myself to the idea of Spencer. Now I just have something more vivid to imagine.
After my shower, I dry off and put on sweatpants and a T-shirt. Abby has seen me in far worse, and if Malia and I are going to be friends, she’ll have to get used to what I wear regularly. I’ve been putting on ‘fancy’ clothes, which for me means actual jeans, a lot more often these last few weeks than I ever did before moving to LA.
Once I’m dressed, I call for a pizza from the place I order from like twice a week and settle on the couch until it gets there. About thirty minutes later, there’s a knock on my door, and Shiloh goes wild. To my surprise, Malia is standing there holding our pizza.
“The guy walked up at the same time as me, so I grabbed it.”
“Perfect! I’m starving. I haven’t eaten anything. I know it’s kind of early for pizza …”
“It’s never too early for pizza. Who doesn’t want a slice at ten am?”
I giggle. When I suggested pizza, I was thinking about Abby’s time, which is much more normal for pizza eating. I’m fine with it if Malia is fine with it, though.
“So, my friend Abby is going to be joining us virtually.”
Malia smiles. “You’ve talked about her a lot! I’m excited to internet-meet her.”
“Perfect.”
I set up the computer and call Abby while I eat a slice of the greasy cheese pizza. Abby answers immediately with her own slice in the same position.
“Wow, it’s no wonder you two are friends,” Malia says.
We both laugh. “Abby, this is Malia. Malia, Abby.”
Abby waves. “Hi! I’ve heard a lot about you. I can’t wait to visit in a couple of months!”
“It’ll be so fun! I can show you all around. Well, so can Leila, but I’ll be joining, obviously.”
“I’d like that a lot. Now, what is the point of this meeting? I’ve been trying to figure it out for an hour!”
I sigh and look between my friends. “So, last night, I kind of … slept with Spencer.”
Both girls gasp. “OMG,” Abby says. “That is not what I expected. How’d that happen? I thought it was fake!”
Abby covers her face immediately. “Shit! Sorry!”
“It’s okay. Malia knows.”
“Yeah, and I thought it was fake, too!”
“So did I,” I admit. “But last night, we went to a café and then came back here for a movie. One thing just kind of led to another, and we ended up in my bed. It wasn’t like we planned it or anything!”
