Just when Fox had nothing left, Winter carefully laid him down onto the bed and started to move inside of him in earnest, chasing his own release. Turning his head on the pillow, Fox cracked open one eye and watched his sexy man over his shoulder. His dark hair was wild about his head, and his eyes glowed with an eerie bluish-white light. Blood smeared his lips, and his fangs were still visible. Everything about Winter was fierce and predatory. And he belonged to Fox completely.

A low moan left Fox as he felt Winter swell inside of him. As his man’s orgasm crashed over him, Winter threw his head back, fucking him even harder.

And because a little devil was constantly whispering in his ear, Fox cried out, “Winter is coming!”

Winter’s shout was cut off with laughter, and somehow—because his man really was amazing—Winter managed to laugh, smack him on the ass, and come all at the same time.

A couple of moments later, Winter collapsed on top of Fox, pressing him into the mattress and his own cum. His breathing was fast in his ear while he snaked one arm around to wrap across part of Fox’s chest.

“I can’t…I can’t believe you said that,” Winter said, still trying to catch his breath.

“I couldn’t help it.”

“That stupid TV show has made my life hell.” But even as he spoke, he still sprinkled soft kisses across Fox’s shoulder blade. “And I think you broke something in my brain. A guy isn’t supposed to laugh and come at the same time.”

Fox hummed, loving the feel of Winter’s body stretched out along his, the sweaty weight smooshing him. “You’ll recover. You’re a vampire. You heal fast.”

“You’re an ass.”

“Does this mean I’m not going get six more weeks of Winter?”

The vampire pushed up on his hands and cautiously pulled out of Fox’s body. He cocked his head, eyes narrowed on Fox. “You’ve been saving that one, haven’t you?”

Fox’s lips twitched. He was trying so damn hard to hold in his laugh in the face of Winter’s stern expression. “At least I know I’ll never have to worry about Winter coming early.”

His lover rolled his eyes and collapsed on his side of the bed. Winter’s lips moved. Not quite a smile, but it looked like he was trying hard to hold one back. Fox crawled over to him and laid his head on his shoulder.

“You got it all out of your system?” Winter asked.

“One more.” Winter sighed, but Fox still reached up and gently placed his fingers against Winter’s chin, turning his face to meet his eyes. “You’ll always be my Winter wonderland.”

He finally smiled at Fox and it was a brilliant thing, lighting up his entire face. “Good save.”

“I love you, Winter. Love you more than I can ever say.”

“Love you too, Fox.” Winter reached over and touched the tender spot on his neck where he’d bitten him. “Are you okay?”

“Definitely. Barely more than a love bite.” Fox’s expression turned serious in a heartbeat. He was not concerned when it came to Winter’s bite. “What about you? How are you feeling?”

“I’m good.” Winter paused, his brow furrowed in thought for a second; then he nodded once. “Yep, I’m good. Slight extra tingle, but that could be from the orgasm.”

Fox grinned. “Good, because we are so doing that again.”

Winter barked out a surprised laugh as he reached over and turned out the light. They got settled in bed. They should have cleaned up, but he was too tired to care. It could all wait until tomorrow. Right now, Winter had his arm wrapped around Fox’s waist, and they were snuggled close under the blankets. There was no place else he ever wanted to be.

Chapter 27

Winter rubbed his thumb against the smooth gold ring on his finger, nervously turning it as he and Aiden entered The Gallery. They had all been surprised when Damon demanded a meeting. Naturally, it was being held at The Gallery.

The bland white structure was more than an art museum in their world. It was one of the only places in Hartford that vampires could meet for a civil conversation. No fighting, biting, or killing was allowed on the premises.

His brother’s nightclub Blush used to have the same rules, but it didn’t have the powers of the Ministry behind it. Just Rafe. And no one wanted to get on Rafe’s shit list. There was no quicker way to get permanently banned from a Rafe club, and they’d all been damn nice over the years.

Of course, considering the dissolution of the Ministry, Winter had to wonder how safe The Gallery truly was.

When Aiden had reached out to him that evening, he’d been a little surprised that his father wanted him along instead of Marcus, who usually handled these types of political discussions. He’d even been ready to slip into The Gallery invisible and shadow Aiden, but his father wanted him right at his side and visible for Damon to see.
