“That’s easy,” I say. “I want to be a GP.”

“But isn’t that what you do already?” she asks.

“It is, but I’m going to set up my own NHS practice. I like the idea of making a difference to the people who need it most. And I like the idea of having my own thing. I’m going to bring in other partners to work with me and I’m not going to work full time—I’ll still be able to travel with you for work.”

“Now I’m not touring, I won’t need to travel much.”

“Well, that was easy,” I say. “What about a place to live?” We exit the lifts and head toward her suite. The view of London always gets me. “As much as I’d like to live at the Dorchester, we should have a home. Don’t you agree?”

She nods as she kicks off her shoes. “So long as we can get the Dorchester to give us a lifetime supply of their slippers, I don’t mind where we live.” She pushes her feet into the oversized slippers she left by the door this morning and heads toward me. “I was thinking we could live closer to your brothers? Unless you want to live in your flat?”

The way she says it, it’s clear she doesn’t want to live in my flat. She’s never seen it, but I’m sure she’s imagining the worst. I laugh from where I’m sitting on the sofa, looking out onto the city. I hold out my arms so she’ll join me. “I’ve put the flat up for sale.”

“When did you do that?”

I pause. “I probably should have talked to you about that, huh? Being a couple is going to take a bit of getting used to. You might have to guide me through it.”

“Being in a healthy relationship is going to take a bit of getting used to. You might have to guide me through it.”

“We’ll figure it out,” I say.

“As long as we’re together,” she replies. “I probably should have told you that I’ve asked Betty to contact real estate people and figure out what’s on the market.”

“In North London?” I ask. She nods. “That’s great!” I say.

“You’re not mad?”

“No! Are you angry that I put my flat up for sale?”

“Not angry, but I’d like to make big decisions together.”

“You’re right.” I pull her closer. “We can go and see my flat, and if you think we should keep it, we can pull it from the market. The agent says I should get north of six million for it, so I assumed we’d use that for a new place.”

“Six million?” she says.

“What?”

“That’s a lot of money,” she says.

“I told you. I’m rich.”

She laughs. “Fine. Sell your six-million-pound bachelor pad.”

I pause. I think it’s the best thing to do, but everything I have is ours now. I want her to be fully onboard. “Let’s go and see it tomorrow. Then we can decide what to do next.”

“I know what I want to do next,” she says, gazing up at me.

“What?” I ask.

“Naked Clue,” she says.

I tip my head back and laugh. “Well, that’s something I haven’t done before.”

“Wanna know a secret?” she asks. “Miss Scarlett has a crush on Professor Plum.”

“Do you want to know a secret?” I ask. “Professor Plum wants to spend the rest of his life playing naked anything with Miss Scarlett.”

We’re sitting semi-naked, opposite each other at the dining table. The entire city stretches out below us.

“I feel like you cheated,” I say, narrowing my eyes at Vivian. “I’m not sure I’d have agreed to Cluedo if I thought you’d still wear your underwear.

“I’m more disappointed that we can’t really play with just the two of us.”

“Twister it is!” I slap the table and stand.

I lay the mat out and Vivian grabs the wheel.

“You go first,” she says, and spins the red pointer. “Left hand red.”

I groan. It’s as bad as it can be for a first go. The line of red dots is lined up on my right. I crouch down and place my hand on the red circle and reach out my right hand to grab the spinner. “Left hand red,” I read out. “Is this thing broken?”

She smiles and crouches opposite, looking right at me. My gaze roams over her body—her lips, wide and soft, down to her breasts, which look incredible in her lace bra, even better that I can make out her nipples under the material. I’m not sure why I’m trying to mentally undress her when I saw her completely naked when we woke up this morning.

But I am.

She wiggles her left hand at me. “All yours, baby. All yours.” She knows exactly what I’m thinking.

She takes the spinner from me. “Right foot yellow.”

I shift awkwardly and get into position, then I spin for her. “Right hand green.” She reaches across the mat so she’s spreadeagled on her front.
