My stomach was flip-flopping left, right and centre.
What the hell was going on?
"Bronagh?" deep voice inquired.
I stepped out from behind Dominic and waved a little. "Heya."
"I'm Ryder, Dominic and Damien's oldest brother."
Holy shite.
He looked like Matt Bomber, only hotter, because he was covered in tattoos!
"Nice to meet you," I murmured and just flat-out stared at him.
Dominic shook his head at my reaction to his brother, but I didn't care. This family had beautiful genes, like I wasn't going to ogle them.
"How is your face?" Ryder asked me.
I thought about what he asked then touched my face and hissed. "It's sore."
Dominic moved across the room, opened what looked like a freezer and pulled out an ice pack, then grabbed a small hand towel on his way back over to me.
I frowned at him. "You are the one with the cut eyebrow and busted up face, you need the ice more than I do, princess."
Dominic's brothers snorted.
"I like her," Ryder said.
"I like her more and more each time she insults him," Damien chuckled.
"Fuck you both," Dominic grinned as he continued to move towards me.
He turned me around and applied pressure to my back, making me walk forward.
"This is startin' to piss me off, Dominic. Stop pushin' me around. Stop touchin' me altogether!" I snapped.
"That's the appeal then? He wants what he can't have," Ryder said lowly then snorted.
"That, her accent, and I'm sure the fact that she's smoking hot has something to do with it as well," Damien's voice chimed in.
Dominic grunted, and he directed me upstairs. We walked all the way to the fourth floor which I wasn't happy about.
"Why are we comin' up here?" I asked, huffing and puffing.
Dominic laughed from behind me. "Do you do any cardio? You sound like you're going to collapse."
I snarled as I entered the room he directed me to. "No, I don't do cardio; there is a reason I look the way I do, and it's not because I enjoy doin' cardio in me spare time."
"I wasn't saying you need cardio, you look damn fine from where I'm standing-"
"Oh, my God. Stop. Just stop!" I suddenly shouted.
Dominic closed the door behind us and just stared at me for a moment.
"Stop what?"
I gaped at him. "Are you serious? Stop being overly nice to me, stop commentin' on me looks and body, and for the love of God stop pushin' me around!"
Dominic rolled his eyes and pointed behind me. "Okay, I will do all that if you sit on my bed so I can ice your face."
I widened my eyes and looked behind me to the kingsize bed; it was bloody huge.
Was he trying to get me into bed?
"Uh…"
I heard Dominic chuckle. "I'm not just trying to get you into my bed; not for the reasons you're probably thinking anyway."
I flushed.
"I wasn't thinkin' anythin'," I lied.
"Go sit down then," he challenged.
I did, and I was stiff as a board while I did it.
"Okay, I'm sat on your bed. Can I have the ice pack now?"
Dominic nodded, wrapped the towel around the ice pack, and carefully placed it on my cheekbone.
I instantly sighed. "That feels good."
"I'm glad," Dominic said as he sat next to me.
I looked at him and frowned. "Do you have a first aid kit?" I asked.
He raised his uncut eyebrow and nodded before he got up and went to his bathroom.
He had one connected to his room!
He came back out with a small first aid kit, sat back beside me, and handed me the kit. I put my ice pack down and stood up; I opened the kit, took out a cleaning gauze and a small bottle of purified water. I soaked the gauze then leaned towards Dominic.
"Stay still," I murmured before I began wiping around his cut eyebrow.
He hissed a little, and it made me smile.
"I'm nearly done, princess."
Dominic snorted and hissed at the same time. He remained still while I wiped away all the dry blood from his face. The cut on his eyebrow was only a little deep and was already clotted, so I just put a clear plaster over it. Then I picked up my ice pack and placed it on his face.
"Thank you," he murmured.
I nodded. "You're welcome."
Those words were the first nice things we had ever said to one another without being sarcastic.
Holy shite!
Dominic lifted his hand and placed it on top of mine on his ice pack. I froze and looked into his eyes, wondering what he was doing. I started to sweat when his other hand touched my back and pulled me close to him. My heart picked up its pace and began to pound into my ribs.
"Dominic, what are you doin'?" I asked, my voice trembling.
"Why do you call me Dominic?" he asked me, ignoring my question and my trembling.
My mind was getting all mushy, and my stomach was fluttering with butterflies.
"Because it's your name."
He grinned. "Everyone calls me Nico though, only my brothers call my Dominic."
I shrugged. "I'm not like everyone else."
He pulled me closer to him then.
"You torment me," he whispered to me. His scent filled my nose making me feel a little lightheaded.
"You started it," I snapped through my slight swaying.
He grinned at me and said, "I don't mean it like that; I mean you do torment me on a daily basis, but you torment me constantly, day and night."
I just looked at him in confusion which made him laugh.
"Bronagh, you get under my skin, you make me crazy," he clarified.
What? How is that possible?
I ignored him as much as I could at school and when he got too close to me, I physically and verbally assaulted him. I'm not saying I'm proud of it… but I'm also not saying I wouldn't do it again.
I narrowed my eyes at him. "Did you bring me up here just to tell me how much I annoy you? Because if you did, you could have done it back at school and saved me walkin' all the way up here."
He kissed me!
Correction, he was currently kissing me.
