“Then take it,” he whispered, biting on my lower lip again and again and again, only to soothe each bite with a small kiss. “Take it.”

I gripped his length.

Santino’s jaw clenched, his blink was slow but still hypnotically focused on me, he didn’t even look down; he simply watched me while I touched him. I expected some sort of reaction, but his eyes were just as hard as the rest of him. I squeezed his cock to what should have been a painful degree, and still, he didn’t even blink.

He was still holding me partially off his lap when I sank down onto him in one abrupt move that was almost painful.

My brother could never know about this.

Ever.

Santino leaned back against the leather seat and put his hands behind his head. “Your move.”

“You’re so arrogant,” I hissed.

“Get used to it,” he fired back.

I started moving on top of him as the SUV moved through town. The driver didn’t even speak a word, though he did turn the music up. It was just him and me in the back, living.

Santino’s teeth clenched as he bit down on his lip, and true to his word, he never took over. He let me take him, not the other way around. I was so lost in him, in the bliss, the pleasure, some pain, that I didn’t realize the car had stopped until he clapped a hand over my mouth.

I bit it.

He jerked back, surprise in his eyes as I moved on him, tested him, found my pleasure, and took him the way I wanted to.

But it was like every time I was close to the edge, I couldn’t get there. I whimpered against his mouth.

“Ask me.” He pulled his hand away.

“Please, please, I just need to…” I felt him so deep inside me that I somehow felt whole in that moment. “Please.”

Slowly, too slowly, he slid a hand between my thighs. I was about to ask him what he was doing when I felt his fingers. I almost jerked away from him. He used his other hand to move me to a different angle.

And within seconds.

All I saw were stars, and all I felt was him. I would have fallen backward onto the floor had he not grabbed me.

He was still hard when he slowly lifted me off him. “You didn’t? Wait, you didn’t—”

“It wasn’t about me,” he said gruffly. “Now—” he reached into his pocket and pulled out a hanky.

“Who carries a hanky these days?”

He actually laughed as he brought it to my thighs. “This old thing? It’s convenient when I want to wipe off fingerprints.”

“I’m an idiot,” I mumbled.

“No, you’re just not a killer.”

“I could be.” I lifted my chin as he wiped between my thighs and then freaking kept the hanky like a souvenir. I mean, I guess it was his but still.

“We’ll see, but first, Home Depot.” Santino smiled and adjusted himself.

“That a gun, or you just happy to see me?” I joked.

“Both.” He winked and then looked over my shoulder. “We’ll be back in a half hour, and I trust this stays between us, John?”

The driver stared straight ahead. “I have no idea what you’re talking about, sir.”

“That’s what I thought.”

Santino helped me with my dress while John moved around the side of the vehicle and opened our door. I couldn’t even make eye contact with him as he helped me out.

Santino laughed. “He’s seen worse.”

“Sir.” John smirked. “I’ll just go read that crime novel now on my kindle, can’t wait to see what happens. Enjoy your time, don’t shoot at the birds.”

“Well, that was anticlimactic,” I muttered under my breath.

“The sex or John?” Santino stopped in his tracks. I think I shocked him.

I shrugged. “You’ll never know.”

A slap landed on my ass immediately after that.

And I smiled for the first time—in a very long time.

CHAPTER TWELVE

“All I wanted was to be what I became to be.” —John Gotti

Santino

I was going to die.

That’s all I kept thinking about when I walked into Home Depot with Katya. Maybe not today or tomorrow, but somehow, I knew Andrei would find out; he had spies everywhere, and though I trusted John, I finally realized I didn’t really trust myself.

I was a liar.

The worst of them all.

I wanted nothing to do with her, right?

And now I was somehow training her.

I walked slowly next to her, careful to look like everything about our trip was casual when it wasn’t. When with each step, I realized I was walking down a path that wouldn’t end with anything but blood.

She was mafia royalty, not that I wasn’t, but there’s a difference when the assassin falls for the girl who was saved, the girl that should have never been kidnapped or thrown away in the first place.

I checked my phone like I had a text, but really I was waiting on intel. Who the hell had taken the twins, and why? What Family do we have crawling down our backs now, as we have multiple hits on every single boss?
