Grayson rubs his hand over his face, his gaze dropping to the printout of the building’s floor plan. “Here’s how I think we should do this …”

Grayson only gets halfway through his plan before King is shaking his head, disagreeing with absolutely everything that’s said and starting an argument that seems to go on for hours. He clearly has his own ideas on how this needs to go.

Carver and Cruz immediately get involved, everyone’s opinions, ideas, and insults being thrown around the room. Hell, even I get in on the action.

Plans and opinions fill the air, each of us considering every point. We’re all terrified of missing a single detail that could lead to Paris escaping again.

Our plans depend on knowing everything about the building’s surveillance, from the placement of staff and cameras to the time it takes the elevator to go all the way from the bottom floor to the penthouse. Hell, gaining entry into the penthouse is a whole new situation on its own.

No stone is left unturned and by three in the afternoon, the boys and I know every last detail of how today is going to go. Hell, we know how it will go if she is alone, if she has guards, or even if the elevator breaks down and we have to leg it up the fire escape, but all that matters to me is two things—that the boys don’t get hurt and that I get to be the one to end Paris’ miserable life and personally send her ass straight to hell.

CHAPTER 35

Ravenwood Estate hovers in the rearview as Carver flies through the gate. It’s been one hell of a long day, and it’s about to get a shitload longer. The girls were dropped off with an overnight bag at Dianna’s house and the heads of Dynasty were put on notice, ready to protect our community if things were to go south.

My heart races, each beat bringing a new wave of terror pulsing through my veins. I feel fucking sick, but at the same time, I’ve never been so ready. This is the moment we’ve all been waiting for; this is the moment I’ve lived for, the day where I will finally give my parents the sweet vengeance they deserve.

Today, Dynasty wins and the Ravenwood name will shine for all to see. Today, I become the true deity that my people deserve. Retribution is ours, and in doing so, I will hand-deliver Paris Moustaff to the deepest, darkest pits of hell.

Carver drives manically through the streets, his tires screeching around every corner as we race toward the finish line, only this last hurdle isn’t going to be easy. It’s going to be downright terrifying, and I’m almost certain that one of us is bound to get hurt. The risks are too high, but the reward is too great to even think about passing it up.

We reach the city center within ten minutes and we all stare ahead at the massive building as Carver slows his speed, far too many people loitering around to keep traveling this fast. The city-goers line the streets, spilling out onto the road and making Carver groan as he constantly hits the brakes.

As we finally approach the building, Cruz slips out of the Escalade and jogs toward the main entrance of the underground parking lot, keeping his head down. He disappears inside and by the time Carver is pulling in and coming to a stop by the security barrier gates, Cruz is there, swiping a key card and gaining us access.

Cruz slips back in beside me as the arm raises and once it’s all the way up, Carver drives on through as though we have every right to be here. Though, considering my parents own the penthouse apartment at the top, I guess we kinda do.

As Carver descends each level, the lighting seems to dim and flicker into complete darkness. He eases the Escalade into a shadowy parking space on a lower floor, the Black SUV barely even a ghost through the lens of a cheap security camera.

We have to assume that Paris has eyes all over this building, hell, all over Ravenwood Heights, but if this is her home, the place where she allows herself to be vulnerable, then she’s bound to have this place locked down like a fortress. The elevator security systems would be hacked, she’d have control of the fire escape cameras, and I can guarantee that the people who walk in through the main entrances are being monitored.

We have to play this smart. The boys’ usual brute strength tactic isn’t going to work, at least not yet anyway.

The guys and I slip out of the Escalade, being discreet so that we don’t draw attention from the other people walking to and from their cars. I assumed that the inside of the building was going to be packed with bodies as it’s home to many businesses, restaurants, and a number of conference rooms scattered throughout, but I hadn’t considered the parking lot. There are people everywhere, but they’re all preoccupied by their own lives that they don’t even notice us as the boys step around the back of the SUV and empty it of the big cart that’s locked and loaded with every type of weapon we should need.
