The other man gave a wolfish smile. “Actually, I believe I’m going to have other uses for your dick. So, it’s safe.”

Thank God for that.

“For now.”

And now he was about to pee himself.

“If anyone else kissed my Bunny, they’d be bleeding out on the floor right now.”

“But not me?”

“Not you. Do you know what I felt when I saw you kiss her?”

He’d seen him kiss her? “You have cameras on her?”

His face tightened and Brody knew he’d said the wrong thing.

Abort. Danger. Abort.

“I don’t like when people don’t answer my questions, Pup.” His voice grew dangerously low and he stepped closer to Brody. He was now pressed between him and the counter.

For some reason, his body suddenly lit on fire. He should be terrified, yet a surge of anticipation and arousal ran through him.

This was so wrong.

He was with Autumn.

And this guy was a psycho.

There was no reason for him to be attracted to him.

“Pup? Do you need a bit of help?” he murmured, his gaze on Brody’s lips.

What was happening here?

“Y-yes. A clue. Please.”

“Very well.” He took hold of Brody’s hand and lowered it to his very hard dick.

Brody swallowed. Crap.

“You were turned on?” he managed to get out.

“I was turned on. Do you like men?”

“You probably should have asked me that before you put my hand on your dick.”

Darn it. Why had he said that?

You should be placating his guy until you can get rid of him.

So he could actually get out of this encounter alive. To his shock, instead of getting mad, the other man looked thoughtful.

“You could be right.”

Could be?

“So, you’re not interested in men?” he asked.

“I’m bisexual.”

“Good. Then there’s no problem.”

Jesus. Talk about arrogant.

“Just because I’m into men, doesn’t mean that I’m necessarily into you.”

What was he thinking? Where were his brains? He was a smart guy, so why couldn’t he just lie?

Dick. Head.

“You’re not into me? Are you sure about that, Pup? I’m sexy. I’m good in bed. I’m smart. And rich. And I saw the way your eyes widened when you touched my dick.”

“I didn’t touch your dick!”

“Your hand was on it. That’s touching, isn’t it?”

“No . . . but . . . you . . . the way you said that, it sounded like you meant I touched your dick on purpose! You grabbed my hand.”

“And you didn’t like it?”

He did. But that was kind of disturbing.

Was he for real? Brody couldn’t even tell if he was joking. He wasn’t giving anything away.

“I like you, Pup. I have a feeling we’re going to bond over our girl. Yes, this will work out well.”

“Our girl?”

“Yep, ours.”

So he just thought they would share her? Just like that? What about what Autumn wanted?

What about what he wanted? Did he want to be with the Fox simply because they both wanted Autumn? Didn’t he deserve more than that?

Although, wouldn’t he do anything to be with Autumn?

“There’s one other thing we need to talk about,” the Fox said.

“W-what’s that?”

“You’re not going to tell anyone you saw me. Or that I have an attachment to my Bunny. Can I rely on you to be quiet, Brody?”

That was less of a question and more of an order. And he knew how he had to answer if he wanted to get out of this in one piece.

“What will you do if I don’t?”

The other man’s eyes narrowed.

“Not saying I would!” he added hastily. “Just, you know, curiosity.”

“Well, I was going to threaten to kill you . . . but that’s not a threat I can follow through on. And all the books say that follow through is important.”

What books?

“So, if you tell anyone, I’ll take her away from here. And you won’t see her again.”

“Right. Okay. So, talking would be bad.” His heart raced in fear at the thought of this man disappearing with Autumn.

“Very bad. Not just for you. If anyone knew about my attachment to her, they could use her against me.”

Okay, that made sense. And he wouldn’t want anything to happen to Autumn.

“You won’t hurt her, will you?”

The Fox scowled. “Never. I would never harm her.”

“Promise.”

The Fox leaned in his face so close that Brody could feel the other man’s breath on his lips. “Promise.” Then he brushed his lips against his. “Sealed with a kiss. You’ll watch over her for me. And you’ll report back if I need to know something. I’ve put my number in your phone under Sir.”

“I’m not . . . I won’t do anything to harm her.”

“Careful, Pup. Your defiance is only cute for so long.”

Brody gulped. Uh-oh.

“But since you’re sticking up for my girl, I will allow it. I’d never ask you to do anything to harm her. I’ll be around, Brody. Be a good boy. If you’re not, I’ll know.”

He backed off, then disappeared out of the room. Brody took one gasping breath, then another.
