Just a little bit.

“And what if you asked us to jump off a bridge?”

The Fox sighed. “What is this obsession with jumping off a bridge? Everyone says that . . . if so and so told you to jump off a bridge, would you? If anyone else tells you to do so, without good reason, then no. If I tell you, there would be a good reason because I would never tell you to do that without a good reason.”

That one backfired on him.

“What if you ordered one of us to do something sexual and we didn’t want to?”

“Why wouldn’t you want to?”

“I don’t know . . . maybe if we weren’t in the mood to give you a blow job.”

“That would be odd. I have an amazing cock. Why wouldn’t you want to suck it?” he asked.

“Fox!” He just knew the other man wasn’t this dense.

“What if you tell us to leave you and we don’t want to?” Autumn whispered.

“I would never tell you to do that,” the Fox told her fiercely. “You are both mine. You will stay mine. Remember?”

“Yes, Daddy.”

“Yes, Sir,” he replied.

“But, if you cannot or do not wish to do something, instead of telling me no, you give your safeword.”

The Fox walked into the kitchen and Brody followed him after blowing Autumn a kiss.

The other man pulled a carrot from the fridge. Brody was surprised she’d bought carrots. Probably for one of her creations.

The Fox started chopping up bits of carrots.

“There’s no way she’ll eat any carrot,” he said, distracted by how quickly that knife moved. “Wow, you have some skills with that knife.”

The Fox smiled. “Oh yes, I’m very good at the slice and dice.”

Okay. He probably should have guessed that.

Idiot.

“She’ll eat the carrot because she’s a good girl for Daddy.”

“She needs to know it’s okay to mess up, though.”

The Fox studied him. “I know. I heard what she said about her grandparents and Brad. I listened.”

He winced. “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to imply that you didn’t. It’s just . . . I worry about her.”

“I know. I have a lot of enemies, Brody. And I won’t put the two of you in danger. And things are heating up. I think everything will be over soon. Can you hold things together a bit longer?”

He drew his shoulders back. “Of course I can. I’ll do anything that she needs. That you need.”

“That’s my good boy. And I promise, once I have the time and space, you’ll get everything you need too.”

“I am getting everything I need.”

“Are you? Maybe you could use a safe space to let your Little out.”

“I’m a Middle, remember?”

“Hmm. Maybe. Or you could be a Liddle.”

“A Liddle? Is that a thing?”

“It’s where you can go younger and older.”

When he was stressed, he tended to regress younger. There were times when Autumn was in Little headspace when he wondered what it would be like to join her.

“I don’t . . . I don’t think that’s what I want.”

“Maybe not yet. But we’ll see.”

“Since when did you get so wise?”

“I’ve always been wise.” The Fox wrapped his hand around the back of his head, pressing his lips against his. “Now, let’s deal with your punishment, then find out what’s going on with our girl.”

The Fox drew a sippy cup from her Little cupboard and filled it with water.

Yeah, good luck getting her to drink that water.

He stepped back into the living room to find Autumn sitting in the chair with her eyes closed, looking exhausted.

“Hey, sweetie, you all right?”

She opened her eyes and smiled up at him. Then she shook her finger at him. “Naughty Brody, you’re getting a spanking.”

Apparently.

“Do you need to go to bed, sweetie?” he asked.

“Nope. I don’t. I’m good.”

He brushed her hair back off her face.

“Here you are, baby girl. A platter for you. We have carrots, raisins, and dried apricots as well as some crackers and cheese.”

“Hmm. I had carrots in my fridge?” she asked.

“You did. And I want to see a good dent in all of this, understand? Plus, here is your sippy cup filled with water. You’re going to drink all of this up.”

“Daddy Fox, I don’t like water.”

“Tough.”

“Can’t I have an iced coffee?”

“No. You’re to drink your water. Oh, I forgot about your pain relief,” the Fox said, pulling a packet of something from his pocket. “Luckily, I bought some the other day. I asked about which were absorbed the quickest. The pharmacist was very helpful. If you could strip off your pants and panties, bend over the seat, then reach back and part your buttocks.”

Autumn gaped up at the Fox.

Not that Brody could blame her since he was kind of doing the same thing.

“Um, I . . . urgh, what?” she asked.

Brody stepped forward, ready to interfere if needed. But he knew that sometimes he had to let them sort this out themselves.
