“Jay,” he groans as he starts to come. Hot spurts of semen hit my breast and trail down my stomach. God, that was hot, watching him like that. He got off on looking at me naked while I was still wrung out from the pleasure he gave me.

He reaches down and rubs his come into my skin. “Don’t wash that off. You’ll wear it all day as a reminder of what I’m going to do to you when we get home tonight.”

I nod up at him. For some crazy reason, I love the idea that under my clothes today I’ll have him on me. No one will know.

“That turns you on, doesn’t it? That nobody suspects just how naughty you are for me.”

He’s so right. “I love it. I love you,” I tell him. He leans down, taking my lips in a soft kiss.

“Love you, too, little bird. Now let’s get ready.” He pulls me up to help me stand from the bed before slapping my ass and pushing me toward the closet.

I want nothing more than to stay here with him.

“I don’t want to go to work today,” I grumble. This feeling is foreign to me. I’ve always looked forward to going into the office, probably because it was all I had. It’s what my life was all about. Now I know that other things are out there. Like sex with the man I love.

“Why don’t you just quit?” Jordan says. I look over to see him pulling on a pair of slacks.

“I can’t just quit,” I tell him as I roll my eyes and slip on a pair of dark blue panties with a matching bra.

“Yeah, you can. Not like we need the money. Plus, I haven’t seen you write in any of your notebooks lately. Speaking of, I want to go get those from your old place,” he says, buttoning up his shirt. Then he mumbles something about not liking my sister being so close to them or something.

I don’t care for that idea either. What if she tries to read them? That thought makes me realize I haven’t heard from her in days. Maybe she left town already. It’s not unlike her to just pack up and leave and not tell anyone. The last time, she left while I was at work, and I didn’t hear from her for months.

I shrug. “Maybe I haven’t been writing in them because I’m living my own love story right now.” I grab a pair of black slacks and slip them on, then pull on a dark blue top that I know will match the flats Jordan gave me. I turn around to see him sitting on the bed, his face soft.

“What?” I ask as I walk over to him.

“I like hearing you say that.”

“Well it’s true.” I stand between his legs and lean down to give him a kiss. I trace his lip with my tongue as he caresses my hips.

“I can’t wait for this day to be done,” he sighs, and I step back, letting him get dressed. We both finish getting ready and head into the office. He gives me one final kiss, dropping me off at my desk.

I let out a deep breath and turn on my computer.

I cringe when I see the email from the other day still in my inbox. I need to talk to Jordan about it, and about the other one I got, not to mention that dead freaking bird, too. It’s going to get him all worked up. I hate to burst the happy bubble we’re in with something like this. My phone dings, and I see it’s Jim from downstairs.

Jim: Incoming.

I go to the break room and hit the coffeepot in case he wants a coffee, but I’m pretty sure Miles has quit drinking it since he doesn’t want Mallory drinking it because she’s pregnant. I roll my eyes but smile while I do it. I walk back to my desk and sit down, making sure I have the things I need on my desk.

When the elevator opens and Miles walks off, I stand.

“Miles,” I say, giving myself a pat on the back for not saying “sir.”

“Everything better?” he asks. I can see the concern on his face.

“Yes, Jordan’s dad is home. Thank you for asking.”

“I’m ready whenever you are,” he tells me with a smile.

I notice Mallory isn’t with him, but I don’t ask about her because I don’t want to be nosy. But the difference in him since they’ve been together has been crazy. Miles was never mean or rude to me. We worked together like a well-oiled machine, but he would have never asked me about my personal life before. Never asked me to call him Miles. Mallory has melted a lot of his coldness away. I smile back. I’m getting it. I don’t seem to get so worked up anymore either. Jordan has calmed me.
