“Yes,” I interrupt, leaning in to kiss him.

“Marry me?” he murmurs against my lips, smiling.

“Yes. Yes, I will.” I grin against his mouth, then I lock my arms around his neck and pull him close.

“Are you sure? You don’t seem sure,” he teases.

I can’t stop smiling, but I can’t resist teasing him back. “Well, you already knocked me up, so I guess I should go ahead and marry you.”

“See? I knew that was a good idea.”

“It wasn’t,” I say, lightly pushing against his chest. “I don’t know how I’m going to juggle all this.”

“How we’re going to juggle all this.”

“Next semester won’t be a problem, but what about junior and senior year?”

Killian kisses my jaw. “Sync up your schedule with Sophie’s. Silvan’s hiring a nanny for them so she can finish school, and you guys should be due around the same time. We live in the same building. I think it’d be pretty easy to share a nanny if we wanted to.”

I gasp. “They could be baby friends. Oh my god, that would be so cute.”

He smirks. “We’ll get ’em little matching sapphire rattles.”

“Our baby is not going to be a Blue Blood,” I tell him firmly.

“We’ll see.”

“Our baby will not be a murderer.”

“Not before he can drive, at least.”

I slide him an unamused look, but I’m too happy to hold it for long. “Maybe we’ll have a girl,” I suggest.

“Maybe we will.”

“She won’t be allowed to marry a Blue Blood, either.”

“Hey, now. I’m starting to get offended.”

I grin as he pushes me back on the bed, moving half on top of me. I thread my fingers through his dark hair and gaze lovingly into his eyes. “I’m just teasing you,” I tell him softly, even though I know he isn’t really offended. “You know I love you for everything that you are, Blue Blood bullshit and all.”

“And you always will.”

“And I always will,” I agree with a nod.

“And if you change your mind, you know you’re marrying a man who has no moral qualms about kidnapping you, so…”

I laugh. “I know what I’m signing up for.”

He smirks. “Good.”

Epilogue

Brynn

“Does Ryan know you’re cheating on him?”

Addison gasps, dropping a handful of popcorn and looking over at me. “How dare you? I would never cheat on my husband, Ryan Gosling. He knows about my flirtation with Mark Wahlberg. It’s strictly casual, and it’s how we keep the spice alive in our marriage.”

Killian is on the other side of the couch with Toast curled up on his lap, his phone in his hand. “This probably doesn’t need to be said, but never take marriage advice from her.”

I glance over at him with a mild smile. “What? You don’t think I should have a flirtation should our marriage ever get a little stale?”

“I mean, maybe, if you want to see me kill a motherfucker. I suppose that could spice things up.”

“Death seems an extreme punishment for flirtation,” Addison says.

“You think that’s extreme? Wait ’til you see how I’d do it.” He looks up from his phone. “We should probably get going. Ryan said he’s almost there.”

I grab the remote to power off the TV while Addison closes her bag of popcorn. “We’ll have to see if Dusty gets his girl back later.”

“I bet he does. I know Dusty is clearly toxic and I do like what’s his name, but Sara doesn’t look at him the way she looks at Dusty,” Addison reasons.

“We need to have a Marky Mark night, give your side dish a little love, too.”

Addison nods. “I think that’s fair. What do you say, Killian? You want to watch Mark Wahlberg movies with us and your friend named Mark?”

“I don’t have a friend named Mark,” he tells her.

“Maybe you should get one.”

“Maybe you should mind your place as a third wheel and not invite me on movie dates with my own wife,” he shoots back.

“Did I miss my invite to the wedding? Last I checked, she’s not your wife yet.”

“Bold to assume we’re inviting you.”

“Play nice, you two,” I say, standing and walking over to grab my purse.

Killian follows me, grabbing my ass and hauling me against him for a kiss. “I don’t have to play nice. You already agreed to marry me and there are no take backs.”

I grin against his lips. “I wouldn’t want to take that back, anyway. I can’t wait to marry you.”

“You guys should do a destination wedding and get married in Paris,” Addison suggests.

“We might,” I say, taking Killian’s hand and glancing over at her as we all make our way out of the apartment. “I like the idea of eloping. I don’t have family to invite, so it will just be Killian’s family and all our friends at the wedding if we have one. But I like the idea of a more intimate ceremony, just the two of us—well, three of us,” I amend, rubbing my still-flat belly. “Then maybe we could have a reception to celebrate with our friends after.”
