That had his face going several different shades of red, but underneath the embarrassment, I thought I could see pleasure. Had he liked being shown off? Had he liked just the idea that everyone knew he was wanted?

“I liked being held there, Master.” The earnestness in his voice said he was being honest and gave me a good hint that it was his limit.

And I was fine with that.

As naughty as he seemed to be in private, I knew I wouldn’t miss public scenes. Besides, I didn’t need to show him off in the erotic sense, but I wanted him to know he was worthy of being bragged about.

“I liked cuddling you.” Testing the waters, I kept going. “And I really liked how many Doms were very jealous that I got to hold you.”

His blush took over his face again but the shy, slightly startled look in his eyes had flashes of something more wicked in it. “They…I don’t…”

I wasn’t sure exactly what he was saying but I shrugged and kept it light. “They can’t have you, though. You’re mine or I’ll sic Austin on them.”

That got a laugh from him as his blush faded slightly. “You’re so…”

He seemed to think it was all just fun and games, so I couldn’t resist trailing my fingers over the back of his hand as I shook my head. “Oh no, sweet boy. You know my love of contracts. Don’t make me prove how much I want you.”

Licking his lips as his eyes went wide, it took his brain a second to catch up. “You’d…you’d keep me?”

Hoping that I wasn’t walking into an unexpected minefield, I nodded. “Yes, sweet boy. I’m not going to rush you, but I knew there was something about you the first time I walked into the playroom. You pulled me in and kept pushing at my curiosity. I had to get to know you and that feeling has just grown stronger.”

I could see something working its way through his mind, but I had a clue that he was second-guessing whatever it was.

“You were even cute hiding against Austin when he was telling me what a naughty boy you were.” Doing my best to make my desire clear as I studied my nervous boy, I kept my gaze on his. “But you would’ve been blushing, not giggling, if you could’ve seen how hard that made me, sweet boy.”

The way he gaped at me said he hadn’t guessed that part. I thought that would’ve been obvious but evidently not. “I was worried I’d shock the giggly little, so I should probably be glad I didn’t scar you.”

As his mouth closed, a laugh escaped. “You were worried?”

That was where he was taking the conversation?

“Yes.” I wasn’t going to hide that. “I couldn’t decide if cursing in front of you was bad, and what about all the things Austin was saying? I don’t know the rules. What if I’d been a bad Daddy before I’d even gotten started?”

Looking down, he slowly peered over at me through his lashes. “I thought you were funny and…and I wouldn’t have been upset even when I was little little if you’d said something…something very grown-up. You…you were funny.”

Since that seemed to be a good thing, I let go of some of the worries I’d been carrying around. “But you’ll tell me if I do something that you don’t like? Not like pushing your limits, because I think that’s obvious and I’m really going to try not to do that, but things like saying the wrong thing when you’re in your little headspace?”

The way his lip immediately got sucked in between his teeth said he wasn’t ready to agree with that idea just yet.

“My exposure to BDSM has been on the more traditional Dom and sub side, but it always felt like something was missing. I like what I’ve seen so far when it comes to the Daddy side of things but I’m not going to have all the answers.” As much as I wanted to, that wasn’t reasonable yet.

Admitting that I didn’t have all the answers was painfully frustrating, though. “If I do something that makes you uncomfortable or just pushes you out of your little headspace, I would really appreciate it if you’d tell me. Or at least tell Austin and tell him to tell me.”

That got a chuckle. “Like playing telephone when we were kids?”

“Yes, he’s very good at telling people what to do, so I know he’d be an amazing telephone for us.” Just a very sparkly, dramatic one.

“I’ll try?” Sitting straighter, he licked his lips. “I don’t want you to worry that you’re doing things wrong, so if…so if I can’t tell you, I’ll tell Austin. Promise.”

“Thank you.” Squeezing his hand, I loved the longing glance he gave my touch without even seeming to realize it. “I want to learn what makes you happy, in and out of little time, and I want to know what turns you on.”
