She tucked her hands into the back pockets of his pants. “Are you kidding? I’ve been looking forward to it all day!” Ever since he’d suggested they check out the club tonight, she’d been excited.

Granted, she was also nervous. She’d never been to a fetish club. Plus, she’d never been openly Little outside of Mateo’s home. Her confidence was bolstered by the fact that Ellie and some of the other girls from Little Cakes would also be going tonight. Nora knew they would show her around and help her feel at home.

Mateo smiled. “Then we’ll go.”

She hesitated. “Wait… What about you? Is this something you want to do? I never even asked you.” Maybe he didn’t want to Daddy her in such a public setting. Maybe he would be embarrassed. She bit her bottom lip as worry consumed her. “We don’t have to go if you don’t feel like it, Daddy.”

He narrowed his eyes. “What’s happening in that sharp brain of yours, Angel?”

She shrugged and looked away, her face heating.

“Hey…” he said softly. “Look at Daddy.”

She shifted her gaze back to his reluctantly.

“Doubt is all over your expression. Are you worried about taking our kink to the club, or is something else bothering you?”

She drew in a slow breath. “I just wasn’t sure if it was something you wanted to do. Maybe you’d rather people not know we’re, uh, like that…together.”

His brows shot high on his head. “Like that? Like I’m your Daddy and you’re my Little girl?”

“Well, yeah.”

“Nora, I’m not ashamed of our relationship. I don’t care who knows we’re together, and I don’t care if they know we have an age-play dynamic either. I don’t mind keeping that side of our relationship lowkey when we’re at work, but only because I wouldn’t want you to be embarrassed in front of customers or your staff. If you wanted to hang a sign on the window that says, ‘The owner of this establishment is a proud Little girl with a smoking hot Daddy,’ I’d be okay with that.” He grinned, his eyes dancing. He was teasing her.

She swatted his chest. “Daddy…”

“Angel, half this town is either Little or a Daddy. There’s a good chance you’ll see someone you know from any number of businesses around here who is also Little or a caregiver.”

She licked her lips. “I hadn’t thought about that.”

He slid his hands up into her hair and threaded his fingers in the thick locks. “I don’t say that to deter you. I think a trip to Blaze will be an excellent experience. It will help you see that many other people practice age play so it will feel less foreign and more normalized.”

“Okay.”

“But, if you’re not ready to take that step, we don’t have to,” Mateo said.

“I’m ready. I told Ellie and Riley I would be there tonight.”

“You’re a brave Little girl, Angel.”

She smiled and stood taller. “I am brave.” She had to be brave to navigate this world at her height. She had to have a spine, too. She’d learned that at a young age. She’d been over six feet tall by the time she was thirteen. She’d learned to graciously manage all kinds of comments, often from well-meaning people.

“Do you play basketball?”

“What’s the weather like up there?”

“Do you play basketball?”

“I bet you can change a lightbulb without a stool.”

“Do you play basketball?”

“Man, I wish you could come over and put the star on our Christmas tree.”

“Do you play basketball?”

“Where do you buy your pants?”

“Nora?”

She jerked her gaze to her Daddy’s. “Sorry. I went into my head.”

“It didn’t look like pleasant thoughts.”

She shrugged. “The usual. Nothing I can’t handle because I’m brave.” She put a huge smile on her face and hugged her Daddy close. “Let’s go to Blaze.”

Chapter Fourteen

Mateo kept a super close eye on his Little girl as they entered the club. He’d taken her home to change and have dinner, during which time he’d noticed how nervous she’d been. She’d changed her mind three times about what to wear, too.

Normally, he preferred to make choices for her and dress her himself in the evenings. It helped her relax if he took over and let her submit to him deeper. But tonight he’d made an exception, not wanting to cause her to feel uncomfortable in whatever she was wearing.

In the end, he thought she’d chosen well. She was wearing black leggings, a purple T-shirt that said If you need me, I’ll be coloring, and purple tennis shoes. It was the sort of outfit anyone could get away with even in vanilla situations.

Mateo had spoken to the manager and filled out all the forms they needed before tonight so they wouldn’t have to spend too much time getting cleared to enter the club.

As he stepped up to a friendly-looking woman at the front desk, Nora had a tight grip on his hand. She was trying to be brave, but she was nervous.
