Rev dragged his ol’ ladies’ ass past Fallon and toward the front entrance. “Rev!”
“Woman, get the fuck outside,” was the only thing Whip’s coworker and club brother said, pushing his ol’ lady out the door with a shake of his head.
“Let’s go,” Judge ordered. “Everyone outside. We’re blockin’ the waitresses.” He put his hand on Cassie’s back and steered her through the group. “Outside now!”
Thank fuck for Judge. Otherwise, all of them would remain crowding around Fallon and rubbernecking.
“Maybe we want to meet her,” Red whispered. But of course, it was loud enough so almost everyone heard it.
“You heard Lee, she’s just one of Dutch’s customers,” Easy said and pushed past Whip.
“Hello, Fallon,” Shay, one of the few who hadn’t moved, greeted with Ozzy standing next to her.
For fuck’s sake.
“Hi, Shay, did you have a good weekend?”
“Bet you did,” Ozzy said slyly.
“Hello, Ozzy.”
“Well, damn, you remember my name. Ain’t brainless like Whip after all that—”
“Your name’s on the front of your cut,” Fallon quickly reminded him with a lift of her eyebrows.
He chuckled. “Oh yeah.”
“But even if it wasn’t, it’s hard to forget you,” Fallon said dryly.
“Damn,” Reese whispered. “I think I like her already.” She held her hand out to Deacon. “Come on. Let’s clear out and give the servers space to move.”
Deacon hesitated only for a few seconds as he checked Fallon out and then turned to Whip, cocking an eyebrow and giving him a nod. Reese yanked on his hand, tugging him forward, hissing something under her breath at him.
Jet herded any stragglers out, dragging Rook with her, until the only people remaining were Whip, Trip and Stella.
Trip jutted out his hand. “I’m Trip, this is my ol’ l— wife, Stella.”
Fallon shook his hand. “Reilly took the time to explain what an ol’ lady was. Nice to meet you, Stella. You, too, Trip.”
“He’s the president of our club,” Whip said.
“Yes, I can see that on his cut.”
Trip’s eyebrows rose. “Reilly explain what a cut was, too?”
“No,” Fallon murmured, locking gazes with Whip.
Trip’s own gaze sliced back and forth between Whip and Fallon. “You stayin’ in our motel?”
“I sure am.”
“How long are you in town for?” Trip asked, giving Whip’s shoulder a squeeze.
“Just until my sled is fixed.”
Trip stared at her for far too long. When the prez turned to him, probably wondering why the fuck she was using those terms, Whip shrugged. “She’s got a badass Scout Bobber.”
“Didn’t see it out front when we came in.”
Of course he didn’t. Even if it hadn’t been in the garage for repairs, she hadn’t been sitting out in the dining room when they came in. Whip would’ve noticed.
The prez was digging.
“It got some damage,” Whip explained. “The reason she’s in town. Broke down at the bottom of Hillbilly Hill.”
“Hillbilly Hill?” Fallon asked, her eyebrows knitted together.
“What we call the mountain along Copperhead Road,” Trip quickly explained. He turned to glance at Whip. “Apparently where you broke down.”
“Yeah. That’s where I came across her.”
“Like a knight in shining coveralls,” Fallon added with amusement in her voice.
Stella snorted and Trip directed a cocked brow to Whip with his lips pressed tightly together.
Jesus fuck, Fallon wasn’t helping. “Just did what anyone would do comin’ across someone stranded.”
“Not true,” she murmured. “You went above and beyond.”
“Well, um…” Stella covered her laugh with a cough. “That’s our Whip. Going above and beyond.”
Whip stifled a groan.
“If we’d have known you were sitting out here alone, we would’ve invited you to join us in the back,” Stella went on to say.
“I’m used to it,” Fallon answered. “I’m doing a little soul searching as I travel the country on Agnes.”
Trip frowned. “Agnes?”
“My sled.”
Trip stared at her. “Wait… Your sled’s named Agnes?”
“We should let her finish eatin’,” Whip said quickly.
“I’m interested in the story behind it,” Trip said. “Should invite her out to The Barn so we can hear the rest of it.” Trip nudged him and slapped a smartass grin on his face.
That was the last thing Whip expected since Trip didn’t like strangers out at The Barn.
“What’s The Barn?” Fallon asked, her eyebrows pinned together.
“Our clubhouse,” Trip explained, his arm now around Stella’s waist.
“For?”
Trip pointed to Whip’s cut. “The MC.”
She blinked. “Oh. MCs have a clubhouse?”
“Guess Lee or Whip didn’t divulge that info, then,” Trip said dryly. “We’re gonna be hangin’ out for a while, so if you wanna spend more time with our boy here, you’re welcome to join us out at the farm. It can get a little rowdy but it’s all in good fun. As long as you’re not easily offended.”
What the fuck was Trip doing?
“Our sisterhood would love for you to come hang out with us,” Stella added. “We don’t bite.”
Fallon gave Stella a half-smile. Whip was sure she had no idea what the fuck was going on.
“She’s only here for a few days,” Whips muttered.
