The bartender laughed. “That’d be a hell of a morning, but I’m pretty sure that only happens in movies.”
“You’d be surprised,” I said.
“Well, thankfully, we don’t have any chapels here. So, you should be safe.”
“See…” Rae jumped in with her playful smile. “We’re totally safe.”
“Fine,” I groaned, knowing there was no stopping her. And when you couldn’t stop Raelynn Vos, you joined her. Which I usually did, happily. Even if I complained the whole way. I really only did it because she tried so much harder to make me like it, and I secretly loved the way she rolled her eyes.
Three drinks later, and we’d done some dance for a TikTok and taken a dozen photos for Instagram.
“Oh, my god!” Rae squealed. “I love this song.”
The band had finished, and now a DJ played music with a heavy, pulsing beat.
Rae slid off her stool and swayed her hips to the sultry tune. Her heavy-lidded eyes met mine and sent electrical pulses to my chest. My heart thudded, pumping heat through my veins. She placed both hands on my knees, pushing them wide to make room for herself so she could slowly crouch down, lining her face up perfectly with my lengthening cock before rolling back up.
Her hands slid up my chest and around my neck, causing the deep vee of her shirt to gape, dangerously close to giving me the perfect view of her nipples. My hands twitched to help and tug the neckline down for my satisfaction. Instead of risking public indecency, I gripped her hips and tugged her close, letting her feel what she did to me.
Her lips parted over a small gasp, and I took advantage, leaning in to suck her pouty bottom lip between my teeth. Her responding whimper left me aching. Before I could go back for more, she whirled around and rolled her body against mine.
She leaned her head against my shoulder, giving me the best fucking lap dance a man could ask for. Needing her to be as aching as me, I brushed her hair back, exposing her neck, and kissed up the tender flesh before nipping at her ear.
“You know, I almost gave in one time in college.”
Her hips faltered but quickly regained their rhythm. “Really?”
“Yeah,” I confessed, dragging my tongue along the shell of her ear. “You’d just pushed me to enter an art competition earlier that day, and we went to a party to celebrate. You were dancing just like this, trying to get a rise out of me.”
“And did I?” she asked breathlessly.
“Oh, yeah. You were so fucking sexy, and all I wanted to do was bend you over right then and there and fuck you in front of everyone so they knew I could.”
“Austin…”
“But you always got a rise out of me. I’m always so hard for you.”
She rolled her head against my shoulder, bringing her mouth inches from mine. “Let’s go.”
My muscles tensed, ready to bolt, when a voice I hadn’t expected interrupted our escape.
“Baby bro. Looks like you got a live one.”
“Fuck me,” I muttered, keeping Rae close to my side. “Hey, Johnathan.”
He slung his arm over my shoulders as he gestured to the bartender for a drink. With his drink in hand, he turned back to Rae, eyeing her up and down like his next meal. “Hey, sexy.”
I wonder what she saw when she looked at us side-by-side. We looked like replicas of our father. Hell, somehow, at three years apart, we looked like twins. He wasn’t as bulky as I was, but that’s what years of being a lazy asshole who drank too much got you. Genetics could only get you so far. But beyond that, we had the same light hair, hard jaw, and green eyes. His were just dulled by his shit decisions.
I know when I looked at us side-by-side, I saw what I could’ve been if I hadn’t learned to not be like our father.
“This is Raelynn,” I grit out, barely restraining the urge to punch him.
“His wife,” Rae added, stunning me out of imagining all the ways I could rip his eyes out. She tucked herself tighter against my side, easing at least a little of the tension.
“Wife, huh?” Johnathan asked with a shit-eating grin. “Wow, I thought you’d be fifty by the time you finally found the one pussy for you. Not that I can blame you. She looks…lively.”
“Ew,” Rae muttered, not bothering to hide the disgust from her face.
Part of me started worrying that Rae may punch him before I could.
“Speaking of wives, how’s Corinne?” I asked, reminding him of reasons he shouldn’t be hitting on other women.
He grunted. “At home. Probably looking for something else to bitch at me for.”
“For some reason, I don’t think she needs to look too hard,” Rae said with the fakest sweet tone.
