I have to remember to be gentle with her. I rise up and lean over her, replacing my tongue with two strong fingers and a thumb at her clit. She’s hot and tight, her pussy sucking on my fingers. My pants are too tight for my cock.

I’ve lost control.

“You’re going to come for me, baby. Scream all you want, no one can hear.”

Her juices soak my cuffs. I rub the inside of her pussy walls, massaging her G-spot. She’s gripping the edge of the table.

I tighten my grip on her breast. “Come. Now.”

Her body seizes, responding to my command. Her head thrashes back and forth, her eyes glaze as she pants through her orgasm.

“Beautiful, baby. That’s beautiful.”

Her eyelashes flutter. My phone rings.

Fuck. What I’ve done is so far outside the bounds of propriety, of what’s expected of me as a boss and allowed as an alpha.

I swore I’d keep my dick in my pants with Madison. Technically, I have, but considering my tongue and fingers have been inside her, I’d say I royally fucked up again.

I’m hunting what I can’t eat. It’s not fair to Madi, and next time, I’m not so sure I won’t lose control.

“Madi.”

She smirks. “So you do know my name.”

I yank my phone from my pocket to silence it, then clear my throat. “I didn’t mean to do that again.” I pull her skirt down and help her to sit up. Where in the hell are her panties?

I spot them ten feet away where I must have tossed them. I go to fetch them, but I don’t give them back. Only because they’re ripped–I owe her a new pair. Not because I’m going to wrap them around my dick later to have her scent when I release this pent-up aggression.

“I didn’t hate it.” She stands. Her tone of voice conveys total satisfaction.

“I’m sending you home for the rest of the day.”

“To think about what I’ve done?” Her tone is playful. She stretches, yawning, and for a moment reminds me of my wolf. I’m still inches away from tearing her clothes off and fully having my way with her, but I sense his triumph over satisfying her.

And least there’s that.

“Definitely.” I force out the word. “I expect total compliance in the future.”

It takes everything I have not to fold her over the table and fuck her raw. Not to smack that ass again until she begs me to stop. But I can’t. I need to get her down to the limo, put her in it, and send her home, far away from me.

Chapter Twenty-One

Brick

I don’t go back to the office. If I did, all the wolves would smell Madison on me. Besides, my wolf has to be let out.

I head straight to the Berkshires to try to run off this agitation.

My pack joins me at dusk when I’ve managed to pull myself together enough to lead them on a hunt.

I pace forward on all fours, nose low to the ground. On either side of me, dark shapes slip through the trees, quiet as shadows. Nickel’s a flash of white on my left. A ripple in the brush, and Vance’s orange and black wolf emerges at my right flank.

Ahead, Sully waits for us. He’s a massive black nightmare of a wolf, black from his snout to the tip of his tail. He stands downwind, one with the shadows. Only his gleaming eyes and a prickling sensation in my fur gives him away.

I head toward him and follow his pointed snout to catch the scent he’s scouted for us. Down the hill, a healthy buck grazes in the moonlight.

We keep our lands well preserved. The forest is full of game, the lakes and streams full of frogs and fish.

I lead the pack in a circle around our prey, keeping downwind. It’s no easy feat for thirty plus wolves to stay silent and keep from alerting the rest of the forest of our presence, but the wolves at my back are the best of the pack. I sense their power, their control, and lead them as an alpha.

On my signal, we race forward. The buck crashes into the underbrush, fleeing uphill.

Werewolves run faster than regular wolves. Our prey has no chance.

The end comes swiftly. I deliver the killing blow, imagining Aiden Adalwulf’s neck under my teeth. Blood sprays, spattering my muzzle.

Behind me, Billy starts up a victory howl. The rest of the hunting pack drop to their haunches and join in.

Overhead the moon limns the tops of the trees.

It’s a full moon in two nights. That’s why we’re all on edge, why Aiden Adalwulf did something so reckless to provoke us.

I could blame the moon for my loss of control with Madi. But I know better. I was raised to be Alpha. There’s no excuse for losing control.

Back at the mansion, Liz and Dane have set up rows and rows of tables for us on the lawn. Each table groans under the weight of a feast. Shifting back and forth takes a lot of energy, and a werewolf can eat the equivalent of a human Thanksgiving meal after every hunt.
